Tennessee not only did they play so well on the defensive end of the floor, but they were also able to make enough shots offensively to keep Creighton out of transition basketball. I think they can present a challenge to Purdue from a physicality standpoint on Sunday

Man Aidoo was either playing scared or something, I don't know what was going on with him but Barnes was smart to limit his minutes. Awaka stepped up in a big way. Knecht did Knecht things. But man. Zeigler. Knecht is a better scorer but Zeigler is the lifeblood of that team. Playing every minute as hard as he does and as efficient as he does is so impressive, and he creates so many opportunities for everyone else. So glad he got to get a chance to come back and get to this point after last year, he earned it. Creighton fans, heads up, you guys have some great talent. Sorry for not remembering his name, i'm still high on a UT win, but your all american showed why he was an all american. Amazing game, had something close to 30 points (again sorry for not remembering, I'm still living in the moment here). Made opportunities on our defense where there really wasn't any. I think your center caught the same scared bug that Aidoo did, two feet from the rim as a 7 footer not dunking the ball wide open, but everyone else was impressive. Ashworth has a little attitude (I remember his name because they were calling out the Zeigler matchup with him all night) but he backs it up. The guy that missed the layup at the end, you can tell it was an off night for him and I feel for him, you can tell that he was a difference maker though for you this year. Nothing but good things to say, best of luck next year. Poorly officiated game on both ends, we got some calls we shouldn't have (sorry Knecht, you definitely touched that ball going out of bounds), we definitely fouled Creighton sometimes and weren't called for it, but luckily the bad officiating sort of evened out for both of us.

As for Tennessee, the 2nd place Volunteers would hold off the 3rd ranked Creighton Blue Jays, 82-75 to advance to their 2nd #Elite8 appearance in school history.

When Gainey turned the ball over after the inbounds toward the end of the game, I got a bit nervous. Ashworth then proceeded to chuck up one of the dumbest contested three pointers I've ever seen in my life. I would've been livid as his coach (or a Creighton fan).

Great team win by the Vols. Unfortunately, they have zero chance of beating Purdue for two reasons: Boilermakers have a dominating big man and TN launches way too many 3 point attempts. I predict the same result as we had last November; Purdue wins by 4.

Your delusional is you think they actually have a 0% chance of beating Purdue. They only lost by 4 earlier this year even though Purdue shot 48 free throws in the game.

Zero chance? You're delusional and underestimating us. You're not going to have 48 free throw attempts this time. You're also playing a more healthy and better team than November. So, I guess keep disrespecting us - I love being the underdog.

Blaming the refs when your team let their opponents go on a 18-0 run is embarrassing. Ziegler got fouled multiple times on layups and got no calls. Knecht got obviously fouled on the three pointer with 4 minutes to go, no call. It’s part of the game. Creighton lost bc of the TN defense, not the refs. Get over it. It’s pathetic to blame the refs when your team obviously got outplayed.

From the start, Tennessee let Creighton know that clothesline fouls and choke holds weren’t going to be tolerated. Both of Creighton’s guards got hammered setting screens. Kalkbrenner is a goon, and he got his lunch eaten.
