Most Americans including conservative voters support red flag laws overwhelmingly. One would think if the Tennessee State House’s action was a popular one, there would be an equal number of supporters there to oppose the protests, the same way they do when it comes to hot button topics such as abortion how history is taught in schools or LGBTQ rights. As we can see, no one supports the Tennessee Legislature’s action here, not even other Republican-led bodies and leaders. It’s a bad look.

This is why true democacy is: majority rules, minority rights. Without the minority voices keeping the majority in check, we head towards stagnation. Without Minority voices raising up issues the majority does not see, we end up being a monolith, a museum. And yet, at that time, isn't the kids protesting the majority whose voices were silenced? Isn't it the rights of the kids (treated as part of minority) being trampled upon? Oh I shudder on the thought.

Just remember the other house members represent their districts, and they will vote accordingly. That is how it works. You can not strong arm other legislators and pull fits to get your way. I am not sure how far their legislation will get since this debacle.
