actively forcing your way into a legislative chamber, and interrupting a legislative proceeding is unlawful pretty much everywhere across the country. your skin color isn't relevant to this, nor is your party affiliation. encouraging those doing it to continue doing so, is bad move for a politician to make. so you had people encouraging others breaking the law to keep breaking the law, instead of asking for them to keep any protests to the appropriate areas and means of protest. i'm not the slightest bit surprised they got booted. we are not yet a completely lawless country, regardless of how some would seem to act as if we were.

Completely agree. I'm so embarrassed when I talk to friends in Australia, New Zealand and Spain who ask me why do people vote for anyone who are still living in the 1800s and treating people as inferiors. I know racism is still alive, I live it when I'm accosted outside a store or in a restaurant, demeaned by educators who say I'll never graduate because I'll only get pregnant and drop out because "that's what your people do." It still stings, it makes you work harder and sometimes you can do better, but not always. Sometimes you can't get into the door. Thank you for seeing it from our perspective, we need more people who can see beyond the lens that they made.

Thank you, sir, for your honesty. Right is right regardless of where it comes from. I have heard so many speak of this as insurrection, to which I reply that I have never seen an example of that such in which women and young children bring forth an insurrection. While as a professional Black Businessman I may have not suggested them to get up there with a bullhorn lol, I do understand that they felt like this body has been ignoring the cries for change from the people. @@dremasutton1581 Democracy is a sham the wealthy use to make the Masses feel heard and respected. In reality, nobody has any certainty who won. The media reports and we all believe. There isn’t any way for you to know for sure what the actual outcome was. Without this surety, your vote IS meaningless. They put on elections just to allow people to vent frustration and vitriol at each other in a nonviolent arena. It is the Two Minutes Hate, conducted every 2 years.

@@nealandersen4867 Sadly, this piece only shows one side of the story. Gloria Jones is simply lying. In her defence on the floor she stated that she had not participated in the most vocal and violent aspects of the demonstration. In her words she had not "used the megaphone". But after she threw her cohorts under the bus she then played the race card, to an audience she knew would be uninformed and eat up her platitudes and lies. Seek and you shall find.

Bravo, Mr. Jones for your courage and speaking up. Enough is enough!
