R1 + Square or R1 + down + Square It's a crouch attack. But for whatever reason you can't do it in multiplayer

You never plugged in a second controller and tried Multiplayer? The character is not a Main Playable Character but is still a Playable Character.

That's the AI command for the move. The player has it as (O+X) but the move by default is turned off.
