Great video! Thank you! I've got a Saxony on the way. Custom G diminished with acrylic red comb halfmoon mouthpiece. I presently play a CX12 G diminished.

Nice video-I wish you had a brass Easttop to play--I think you would be more impressed with one of those. I know I am. It seems to give me whatever I need on gigs.

Excellent! To my ear - the Suzuki's seemed to be a better-balanced sound (not sure if I'm expressing myself correctly) and smoother. I'm probably biased; at my current standard, I love my Chromatix - but everyday playing is on my valveless Easttops!

Great video Neil. I have a question for you: which chromatic harmonica do you recommend me? I have a super chromonica and I didn't play it so much because of my fear of getting a reed sticky and not being able to work in it due to the nails of the reed plates. Now I want to learn in a much more professional and deeper way than just playing some harp tabs. I want something that lasts long, without being extremely expensive (maybe I'm asking to much hahaha). I hope you can help me. And I also extend the question to everyone. Have a nice day 😊

I'm not Neil, but if I may.....if your harp is a super 64,then it should have screws, only the basic 64s had nails......btw,that's the same thing that keeps me from replacing the comb on my 64.

What is better between "super 64 x performance" and "sirius 16 hole"

Thanks for sharing. Of the ten, did the mouthpieces vary between rounded and trapezoidal ? Do you prefer one over another ? Do you use tongue blocking or pucker or both ?

Rounder preferred in general. Saxony and GM48 currently on gigs, SCX for practice, Symphony for recording. All pucker except occasional octaves.

Additionally, to prevent harmonica deterioration - 1) Warm Up before play and 2) Cool outside box overnight. See other maintenance videos. Regards, Neil

In fact, you have almost the same sound on each of them, except with the CX12.

Is the Sirius a worthy upgrade to the SCX?

Currently don’t own a Sirius. SCX has smaller sound than GM48, but playable in every way.
