Such great ideas and lovely results, great tip to use the lunar paste on colored cardstock, i too think it is too messy on white on an embossed piece, thx, did not think of that myself!! Thx 4 this video👍

Love number 2 the best!! And the gilding flakes! I didn't think I could run the paper in the embossing folder twice without it getting cut up but I will try it now!! Thanks for all the tips!!

This was very helpful to me. I have these embossing folders now at my fingertips since redoing my scrapbook room and what should i try! I love the gilding flakes as i haven’t used them before.

I really liked 4, 7 and 8. I have the gilded flakes (gold, silver and rose gold) and I too love putting them on my cards.

I have a pad (or 2) of the co'ordinations cardstock that I picked up at my local Michael's store just for doing techniques like this. Guess what I haven't actually used? 🙄 Yep. Still have those pads, untouched. Looks like I need to pull them out and start trying them on some of my embossing folders. I have quite a selection now, including some of the Spellbinders 3D folders.

I like the flocking the best, primarily because I've never seen flocking powder before. Who knew? Certainly not me!🤷🏻‍♀️ And I was thinking about flocked wrapping paper this Christmas and wondering if anyone still made it. My sister wrapped all our presents in flocked paper one year when I was a kid, and it's a fond memory. So, now I'm off to Google flocking powder. And thanks for adding something to my already lengthy wish list!😄😄😄👍🏻

I'm a new subbie. I didn't realize there was SO MANY techniques with an embossing folder!!! Love them all. But maybe gold foil is my favorite. I have the foil but no adhesive. Need to get some so I can do this. Thanks for great video. Austin,TX USA

I love technique videos, many times I’ll spend a fun day in my studio just trying stuff. Very keen to give a few of these a go - especially liked the smooshed, watercolour pencil and gilded ones but they all had appeal.

@Carrie Rhoades • I love this as a technique video because it gives so many options in one place. This makes it so much easier to refer back to for "What look am I going for?" Here we have the elegance of gold flakes on white through the romance of loose water coloring and to the organic ink smooshing. I truly appreciate the fact that you stuck with one embossing folder so we could really see the results of the technique without regard to anything else. Using one folder makes it so much easier to appreciate the results of monochromatic with or without glitz/shimmer to the beautifully colored leaves & berries. Finally, my favorite is the last one because I love the flocking. In my opinion, when you are making cards for young children or seniors adding texture improves their appreciation of the card. Texture* adds tactical enjoyment to the visual that we strive so hard for. *I consider texture to provide a greater variety of enjoyment than dimension alone. Texture can be anything from the softness of the flocking to the silkyness of a ribbon to the harshness of some sandpaper for a beach. Texture also usually doesn't involve more postage as dimensional embellishments may add. Anyhow, that's just my opinion.

Love the technique videos as well as card videos

I love them all but my favorites were the gilding flakes and lunar paste. I really love the difference it makes when you re- emboss.

I think I like the gold one and the lunar paste ones. I saw a video with black card stock and the lunar pastes on a flowered embossing folder, that was gorgeous. I had just ordered a bunch of lunar pastes, so now I can try it too! Thanks for all your hard work, Carrie! ❤️

What great techniques. Loved them all Carrie. I want to get the water colored pencils that Tim Holtz released. They look amazing.

I liked the technique video. There was alot of information presented in a short time. There are many choices on how to turn them into cards & you are offering that at a later date. Great way to go I think. I particularly liked the one using crayons in the recesses on the concave side of the embossing folder. I played with this using versa mark & ink at Easter time. I got a nice edged colored result but could not get ink or versa mark to transfer to the bottom of the recesses. The end result was outlined in color images which made a nice card.
