I don’t think Temu is any worse then Amazon, google, ect as far as data harvesting. I did watch a documentary where Temu basically muscles the merchants to sell cheap or drop them completely. Other then that I don’t know much, never ordered anything from them.

If you're installing the app for the coupon do it on an old tablet or phone you don't care about then after you get your stuff factor reset or recycle it. Temu is owned by PDD Holdings, which is controlled and operated by the Chinese government.

I have the UV-17 Pro Max and I love it. And yes, it does put out 10 watts. I bought it for the 220 option and it hasn't let me down.

Zipper bags are goog for wires and adapters. Put a wire/item in the zip bag, then throw it into your bag or box. You can see what is in the bag, and eliminate tangles.

I know people who've ordered quite abit from Temu. I've ordered a few items myself. Mostly pleased.

Temu is an awesome shop. I like Temu🎉

I used it for a lot of bits one of the main thinks was enf cloth that works great I made liners for a lot of bags

I’ve ordered from Temu. It takes about 10 days to get . They even delivered on Thanksgiving day through their delivery service. If you don’t like it or can’t use it, they will return your money and supply shipping label.

They can't exploit international postage agreements for postage that makes it impossible for US businesses to compete (with the shipping costs) if they use boxes, they have to use hte bags.

Used to have app. Bought some okay field pants and such. Yes, UV5Rs (I was new to radios) and two UV68PM. All of the Fengs work well on simplex. Crappy on duplex. The 68s make the 5Rs look good. I still use my Temu radios because if they get trashed or lost, I won't cry. Thanks for the video and 73, KF0NNQ.

I hate the gamification of shopping on TEMU. It’s very annoying.

I have bought a lot of items off temu. I'd say about 85-90% of the items are pretty good! I love making the 3D metal arts models, the 40 I bought from Temu were 1/3 or less then the brand name ones and I did buy 2 that were the same type of kits that I already had from the brand name ones... Identical! I've also bought 1 few boafengs and a couple of the Mwl radios.. great, for what they are! Been pretty happy so far.

I've heard both positive and negative. How to sort them out? Dunno.... A friend who is really deep into crafts orders stuff from them all the time, I can't shut her up about how good they are. A couple other friends say (without even trying them) that they are Commie slavers. Six of one, half dozen of the other? I haven't decided yet if I want to take this plunge.

Yeah, temu is where I got my first Baofeng UV 5RA .and it did the job then I bought TYT TH9800 it's lock and only does 2 meters till I find someone to unlock ...it's bad to be a General now since Sat. The 6th and can't get the 10 meter and 6 meter I got the firmware but can't figure it out . but anyway KQ4QDG 73

I am not interested in a flame war, but a little info. TEMU is a US regulated company... Regardless of any shady business practices their parent company's subsidiaries get up to, TEMU wouldn't be able to operate in the US without the FTC's blessing, which they have. Despite people's paranoia and several lawsuits, to date the FTC has NOT found that Temu violates your privacy and harvests your data any more than places like Amazon or Google. Don't get me wrong, harvesting ANY data is wrong... But Temu is no more guilty than anyone else. The fact that most people think Think Temu makes and sells merchandise, and the fact they have no idea that Temu is a US based company means they easily buy into paranoia and conspiracy theories. As for "human rights violations" Temu isn't a factory, Temu isn't a merchant... Temu is a "middleman" an "agent" a "facilitator." And while yes they most certainly have a SAY in how merchants and manufacturers who use their platform operate, they have ZERO control over it other than removing them from the platform (and they will show up a few days later under a new name). Hey look, I'm not saying they are a great place... They are DEFINITELY shady! But they are no more shady than any other data handler or corner cutting retailer... We only care because their parent company is Chinese. A valid concern, but overblown.

The same reason I no longer use Amazon, never used TIKTOK, and support vendors who are here for us long term is why shunning Temu is the right and principled thing. Not overblown actually in a rapidly escalating war with China.
