This is wonderful, but, for me, the hypostyle hall at Karnak must come first.

One of the world's most impressive feats of architectural beauty.
It’s mind boggling how old and still how beautiful and well preserved this is.
I remember in 1994 visiting Hatshepsut Temple in the valley of the Queens, I can still feel the heat of Sun from that day on my arms - it was Magical. Thanks you for bringing back those memories. This site was more Magical than thevalley of the Kings.

I love seeing the recreations of the ancient buildings, it’s like seeing them come alive once more.
As someone who is fascinated with Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome I am really enjoying your video’s. I hope to one day make it to Egypt and see theses wonders of the world myself.
I really appreciate the recreation of landscaping around the structures. I always thought that ancient Egyptians, and Greeks and Romans would have loved beautiful plants and greenery adjacent to their buildings, but you basically never see any of that in pictures and drawings.

It was the place for the family to came togather in the evenings when the sun was low and it was cooler. A pool in the center of the garden, with lotus plants in it, brought additional cooling. In the temples there were gardens where plants for making perfumes grew. It is part of the ritual that the figures of the gods were rubbed with fragrant oils every day. Temples were places of beautiful fragrances.
I have visited this temple twice and every time it mesmerized me with its extremely modern design and its majestic beauty. Very good documentary!
A masterpiece ahead of it's time.
preparing for an exam , this video helped me in visual learning. thanks a lot manuel. Love from India !
I have watched hundreds of videos on ancient Egypt over the years, and I say your videos are among the absolute best: great visuals and explanations. It is as if you have an inert sense of what should be shown and discussed. I am grateful to you.
I'm fascinated too with Ancient Eygpt and all ancient sites around the world. From their deep cultural significance to their spiritual philosophies, which affect people still to this day..as we try to encapsulate on their timelines
Such progress during that age. Beautiful and extraordinary. Egypt has such a rich history which never fails to fascinate people. The imaginations, minds and talents that created such things.
I have been to this temple. It was like dreaming. Thanks, Manuel for all your videos.🙏 ❤
Greetings from Egypt. Well done !

Ever since I was a child I was fascinated by this temple and the story of Hatshepsut. I expect to be able to visit it sometime within the next 5 years. Your video is excellent. I found your channel yesterday and immediately subscribed. I'll be watching this video a second time, with the sound off and at 0.5x speed so that I can thoroughly enjoy your photography, as I have enjoyed your explanations this first time watching it.
Felicidades, otro trabajo fascinante, como anillo al dedo.Considerando el templo más hermoso y una de las gobernantes más audaces y creativas.Hatshepsut definitivamente una hermosa y brillante mujer para toda la eternidad♥️
This is the best video I have ever seen with so much detail in-depth. This is awesome. It's as if I'm standing right there. I get such a vibe. Looking at this all the history of the culture, this is just absolutely beautiful. Thank you
Fabulous video - was just there today and was dying to see a reconstruction of this gorgeous temple. Thank you for posting. Couple of tips- On the side of Mentuhotep’s monument there are falcon gods decorating flat columns all along that side and there’s a second Sphinx recently installed at entrance. Also the temple originally had gardens that ran all the way to the Nile purposely lining up w Karnak temple on an east-west axis which served to receive the barque of Amun-Re for their annual festival. I can send you pictures of the falcon columns on the side if you’re interested. Amazing video overall!! 🙌🏼🙌🏼
In love with your channel! Another fabulous video! ❤🥰
Wonderful presentation. Should be used in lectures and schools.
I appreciated the views of the temple reliefs I had not seen before.
The Romans, seeing Egyptian buildings, decided it would be a good idea to use them in a functional capacity. Egypt helped start our technological ascendancy. Thanks, guys!
I love these videos! I can't wait to see what's next after you show us all the amazing sites you went to in Egypt
Manuel you make some of the BEST videos on KZread. Never stop! ❤️
Well done! It is even more beautiful when you film it before all the tourists can arrive and the place is filled with buses and people looking for refreshments at the cafeteria.
Another video brilliantly done and interestingly presented. Thank you, again. Nick.
Excellent post! Thank you for sharing all the best details of this magnificent monument! ❤
Phenomenal explanation, you're research was very insightful. Thank you!
I am pleased to see the contextualizing that the reconstruction of the gardens achieves. So few view Egypt as the richly verdant area it once was.
This funerary temple is the most architecturally perfect building in the world. I have been in it! It is extraordinarily beautiful.😺

I saw this temple in 2007 when it was been renovated I'd live to go back and see it finished.i saw all the big tourists attractions in Egypt and along with the pyramids and the valley this temple was just as impressive.and it would of been awesome to see it all painted instead of just sand stone

Those ancient Egyptians were certainly ahead of their time, especially in providing wheelchair accessibility to the temples! 😎

Yeah, I didn't know until recently that they pretty much painted everything. It makes me wonder what this stuff looked like new. Since well before photography even it's been stone with some things painted, the things that have lasted. How much of what was painted is completely gone to where it looks to us as though it was never painted? I'm sure different materials used, paint mixtures and dyes lasted due to the different sources in the paint (also location and exposure to sun.) It would be wild to see how it looked new (color schemes that we don't know about), even drop by for a visit to the one that was 500 years earlier. Who knows if this happened, but if the 500 year earlier one had been faithfully maintained during that time too? Or had it turned into an old place to them and seriously in need of restoration with the painting of certain things?
Thanks for sharing this beautiful work. Pero también me encantan los vídeos en español para las audiencias latinoamericanas. Un abrazo Manuel.

Loved this temple! One of the best I have been to!
Hi Manuel and thank you for interesting presentations on the ancient world. Is it you who are doing the 3D models and animations?
I m here i saw this in my dreams that got peeled n saw 7 tomb standing. I have never been to Egypt not even had idea of this place was searching on Google n found this is the same place . Something god is brging change
Congrats!!!
I wish egypts tourist and archaeological departments would come together and replant the temples garden terraces again. What we see is magical, but missing the gardens would show how breathtaking the whole temple would have been, and also embody the physical progress from the lush greenery, fruit and flowers and herbs of life into the temple of stone, barrenness and death, before returning back outside into the Egyptians idea of a lush paradise in heaven. It would explain and educate tourists about the Egyptians idea of life and death, but also become a huge beautiful jewel in encouraging tourists back to Egypt since the civil upheval.
Excellent
Incredible arquitecture
great n brave Ph lady .. good study thanks
Amazing 💛
Thank you.
amazing
Thanks!
also, it would be nice (and the most educational) to do a documentary on Persepolis (over 2500year old) in order to see the origins of some many later traditions, be impressed by the "biggest and largest" all over that gigantic ruin.

Persepolis is beautiful. It must have been extraordinary when first built. I too would like to see a good documentary on it.
Hi Manuel. Any plans on doing a video on Chichen Itza?
That would be nice to see if they put the gardens back and the pools of water
I always remember our guide saying how to pronounce Hatshepsut: "It's like me: hat, cheap suit".
Thanks
been here, never knew why the left size od the temple was destroyed ( left side of the actual temple there was another temple connected to this one) always wondered that never found anything on net or there on the spot, just a small model of it before you go to the actual site that depicted the left temple as it was and the actual ruins of it standing, but thanks to this i know its a different building temple of mentuhotep
I would choose another voice for your excellent presentations.
Hatshepsut was really interested and related to the land of punt which is modern day somalia
💙🕊thank you!
would be nice if you showed pics or sketches showing how this looked like before all the restorations---which seems substantial. so, what is real and what is reconstructed, makes all the differnece
"Ready for battle!"
Eu tenho uma pergunta, de que forma hatshepsut decidiu onde construir seu templo...
Bravo
Personally one of my favourite structures in all the world
In ancient times this mortuary temple had terraced gardens as part of the design. Punt to the best of my knowledge would be modern day Somalia
This was an awesome level in Serious Sam.
Impressive
nice
