Thanks Paul, I need to check out the history so I can add it to the listing. Like you the thing I enjoy about these historic broadway selections is the feeling of what the original viewers found entertaining about this style of musical. Plus the musical interludes often are quite charming.

I really enjoy these historic broadway type shows, interesting to see how they differ from todays styling. I am redoing many of the the records to upgrade the sound some what. If I do will will try to include the descriptive information.. I rather hate to loose the comments though if I do. Perhaps these style of selections are alright using the original True Tone diaphragm.. Some records seem to benefit from them it seems.

Listening now I also must say that the clarity of the vocals on Edison is outstanding compared to most the other competitors of the time. So many of them records like this are "muffled " sounding making the words hard to hear. With Edison most are quite life like.. I guess that is why it called it "Like Life It Self".

80574, I got that from the 24 catalog. It might be one of the Edisons in the teens that didn't have a serial number on it. I checked the catalog because I didn't care to go though a thousand records trying to find it. My organization is messed up after moving last year.
