Amazing how multi talented the old time comedians like Lupino Lane were...They could do it all!
For six guys from silent movies who never spoke on film before, they were really good!
until this moment i hadn't heard Ben Turpin speak.I have only seen him in silents. Brilliant film!
Watching this for Myrna Loy lol
If it was the same person, I used to listen to Myrna Loy many years ago. She had an AM talk radio show where people would call in and talk about anything.
great performers all! Thanks.
1:16 I like the camera work in this sequence.
Correction; the last gal must be Alice White.
At 1:48 it looks like Mrs Howell from Gilligans Island tv show.
Hello, I loved the clip. One small error, the last lady is Alice Day, not Alice White.
Most of these comedians began in vaudeville and it shows. Some may have been long absent from the boards, but it all comes back to them. Though Lupino Lane aced his acrobatics, poor Ben turpin fell on his neck. Ouch!

Wrong.
Oh yeah! You don't see acts like that anymore. That split then slide up & Ben Turpin's flip? Comedians now would probably put themselves in the hospital.
Was that Estelle wynwood
Ben featured in a number of Laurel and Hardy movies, and was always a welcome surprise with his amazing crossed eyes!
