That truck runs awesome. Suspension performance looked really nice. Cool colours on the truck.
I love watching these. I must have had my head in the sand before. I really enjoy this. I think I'm going to buy one now. I bet they cost a ton of $ to get a really good one. I like the electric also. Thanks for putting these online!!!!!

I know this is from 3 years ago but yes you should get one i have been into rc for many years and it is a great and rewarding hobby very fun even for the whole family...
Excellent video, thanks for taking the time.
That was best s.c. R.C. racing I seen and I'm a r.c. racer too been doing that est. 1989 I was racing go-karts before r.c. cars in my teens
Beautiful driving!

BUILTLIGHTWOUNDTIGHT Thanks, not a problem. Glad you liked it ;)
I realize this video is older, but if you haven't tried the 6x1.5 pistons, and the LRC brace I would highly recommend it for outdoors. Those changed the game for me drastically for outdoor racing.
Nice driving! Looks like you had a great setup for that track. I've got the SCT410.3 (along with the ET.3 and EB.4) and I really wish my local track was smooth and bigger like that so I could actually go faster with my SCT. My track is just way too blown out and rough as it hasn't had any major maintenance in at least 18 months. Even the straight a way has so many rolling pot holes that if i try and hold even half throttle the truck gets kicked around to the point that it sometimes slips and starts tumbling. My truggy handles tha track pretty well and the EB is better than the sct, but even that gets tossed and flipped around if I go too fast. After talking to some far more experienced racers, they say that I'm just expecting too much with a track that rough. In fact the first time I took my brand new SCT there I ran 2 packs for a total of about 40 minutes and my body was completely destroyed lol.
Wow Nice race
Nice driving! Question, for the sharp corners, while approaching them with speed do you rely on mostly drag brake or trigger brake or both? Thanks
Ed Weaver is the man. Nuff said.
3:57 ...nice catch there O-O
Your pretty fast with that Tekno!! Looks like it handles pretty well for a heavy truck!
@CyconXc
10 жыл бұрын
Thanks man, it may feel heavy, but it doesn't drive that way. It definitely feels planted when you have the right tires, you could see that through that S section!
I loved it
I just bought a Senton, and only wish I had a track to run on...
Nice driving! I miss outdoor racing.

Thanks Rich! Nothing beats outdoor racing like this, especially when the track is perfect like it was! But I saw you're starting to upgrade your Tekno a bit. I think my next step will be to get the straight cut gears, I heard they're great!
@TheRCNetwork

Cool deal! Let me know how those gears work out. I drove the final product (all upgraded and full maintenance) and couldn't believe how light it felt (just from the chassis weight savings). I'm losing traction in the rear now, so back to tweaking it!
@CyconXc
10 жыл бұрын
The RCNetwork I will if I do get them! Really the only area I want to shed some weight would be the drive line. Running outdoors with a light 4x4 doesn't work out too well haha. I was having your same problem, so I just went back to the stock setup exactly. I tested that, thickened the center diff and raced with it that way for this event. Now that I have decent again, I can just make small changes to get it perfect.
Do u still own this truck?

Love your videos man. Awsome skills!! Do you mind to share your opinion between the tenshock sc411 4600kv and the tekin pro4 hd 4300kv? I am trying to decide on wich one to buy and you seem to have a lot of experience with them. Sorry for my english and thanks in advance🙏

Thanks Joel! Between the 2, the Pro4 wins by far. So much power, and it's butter smooth with an RX8. Stays very cool also. The tenshock is a great motor for the price though, don't get me wrong. But the Tekin is just a beast, so if you can go for that! Your english is great btw :)

Cyconxc I have a question,I'm running a rx8 and pro 4 hd 4300 kv truck seems kinda slow compared to my 2wd vehicles is this normal or what or am I doing something wrong? I'm running a 16t pinion and the stock spur all stock tekno sct 410.3 brand new . Add boost or what? I just would've though it had more top end but I suppose I'd would be good on the track minus the nose dive . Appreciate some of your feed back.
Why is mine seem slow rx 8 pro 4 he 4300kv. Sct410.3.
Good driving, man! You overtook quite a few other drivers and ran away from them...

I like buggy’s and short corse the dude on the blue techno is a good driver he wrecked 3 or 4 Times an was still the leader
Man you had a melt down towards the end! What happened?? lol.... I like that track though!
What size is this and do they have to be a certain brand,
muy buena carrera

Would your setup as far as shock setup, diff setup, and sway bars work good for an indoor clay track?
@CyconXc
9 жыл бұрын
I'm running the stock setup, which was creating on a indoor track. So yeah it would, maybe even thicker diff oil in the rear would make it that much better.
Hi, I'm looking at getting a Tekno SCT410, Proline Pro 2 or a Traxxas Slash. Which of these three do you think is best when it comes to driving abilities, build quality, speed etc...? Great video channel by the way.
@ajallen2526

+Phil Morello Each one of those vehicles are designed for a different purpose. The Tekno is a 4wd race truck, the Pro-2 is a 2wd truck, and the Slash is a capable basher that comes in either 2 or 4wd.

marc dubois The Tekno is obviously the best truck money can buy, but it is also much too expensive to bash for most people. You can get an LCG slash for around $400 RTR and bash the hell out of it. For racing, Tekno all the way!!!
@highhorseexpress301

Tekno sct410 or scte hands down. Both indestructible and on rails whenever driving. On my sct410 with just a 25 mph top speed on 2s I can easily keep up with 8 scales-its all in how awesome it turns. SCTE can keep up with tekno 8 scales. Choose the 1 with better parts support and looks the coolest
Nice! Try more negative rear camber it will help keeping the rear from sliding out so much!
@CyconXc
10 жыл бұрын
Thanks! Either that or I should have gone with a stiffer rear sway bar. You could see I was getting a bit of body roll in some of those corners, a different sway bar would have helped a lot.
@braxtona.4575
10 жыл бұрын
I'd give more negative camber a try because negative camber is the tops of the tires leaning inwards, so when it rolls it will roll on to a larger contact patch thus giving you more traction! If you do stiffer sway bars it will stop the body from rolling but more under steer, because there just isn't as much out side tire connecting with the ground!
@CyconXc

Spoderman Jones You're right, wish I would have done that. Still trying to figure out when I need to adjust camber and toe-in for different track conditions.
Wow that's some tall gearing with the pro4hd. Were temps good? I'm running a 1415 with a 16t pinion in my sct410 on 4s and it drags 8 scales down the straight while pulling 8 inch pizza cutters and its only got up to 140 on the track. BTW that's a sick layout
@CyconXc

Seriously? That's nuts dude, those 2400's are powerhouses. But yes most people run a 18 with the HD, never had any heat issues and it's very fast.
@highhorseexpress301
8 жыл бұрын
Haha thanks. I usually run 2s now (really would like to get a 3s) and just hoon with the throttle for 15 minutes. Its not fast down the straight but it makes up all the time in the turns. Looking to add an scte to my collection how are they?

We've sold it since, but we loved the SCTE. Very well build and easy to wheel. When setup right that thing rips. I still preferred the tekno more, but it's a great truck.

Yeah when I test drove an SCTE i could hang with tekno e buggies. I used to own a full option superlight eb48 but sold that to get the rc8b3e-which wasn't as awesome as the old car so I traded it for a 100% awesome b44.3 and during all this madness I picked up my sct410 used from ebay and hell it came with a rear spring on the front and for some reason it still handles like a king (its a tekno thats why)
@CyconXc
8 жыл бұрын
Yeah the SL is basically driving the 410 without a body, not a big enough change for me. If it were me I would go full on ebuggy on 4s. But it all depends which classes are big at your track. We always had huge numbers in ebuggy. Enough to break it into expert, int, novice, and sometimes ages 50+ haha.
Cycon good race. Let me advise you should drive more relaxed, gently press the accelerator more off the corners. If you want to reduce the oversteer I advise you to reduce the angle of the steering servo through the station, I had the same problem. The car will become more docile and easy to carry. Another way to reduce oversteer on your car is lowering the center of gravity of the rear axle by loosening the preload of the shock absorbers. Keep it up and thanks for the video
@CyconXc
10 жыл бұрын
Thanks Lolo. It's hard to stay relaxed, I'm sure you know lol. But Iike you said I'm starting to realize this truck really does have a lot of steering. I was going to turn down the steering rate and EPA in the radio but I forgot, that would of helped keep it from washing around. I just need to lower the whole thing in general, sits to high. Thanks for the tips!

CyconXc I understand perfectly, I have also gone through these difficult times of race stress. Regarding the improvement of oversteer, I forgot to give you the best advice of all, it is the 4 dampers installed in horizontal as possible, the car changes radically. Greetings Cycon, you're an artist!

Nice race man! I'm looking to get an SC to race and I think I narrowed it down to either the Tekno or Losi 2.0. Your thoughts on this choice would be great. Just curious, what were some of the other trucks racing in this event? Way to keep it together at the end. I could tell the nerves may have been getting to you near the last few minutes but you recovered well!
@CyconXc

Thanks, sometimes a get a little anxious lol! But deciding between the two is a tough one. I love my truck but it's really down to personal opinion. I would go out to the track and watch the guys closely that run 4x4 and see which look the best at your track. Maybe even ask if you could take a couple laps with each to see how they feel. That's the biggest advice I've heard when people try to decide, to just try out both. Most of the trucks in this race were SCTE's but I know for sure 4 including mine were Tekno's. 1st and 3rd podium were Tekno's and the guy that led most the race that had a dnf wheeled a Tekno. I also came across this thread that should also help you decide: www.rctech.net/forum/electric-off-road/718113-tekno-sct410-losi-scte2-0-decision.html Hope this helps!

Totally helps! I'm reading through the thread and it is exactly the info I need to help make the decision. Kinda leaning towards the Tekno. I see a few kits used on ebay. You think it would be safe to get one used? Or would you ask the seller any questions about the truck since you know what to look for? Thanks again!
@CyconXc
10 жыл бұрын
Dustin Dunnill Alright cool, thought it would! You really couldn't go wrong with either but I would go with the Tekno. SCTE's have wear problems and sometimes the joints get sloppy over time. Mine has no slop, whatsoever, with a year and a half of action. I also don't like how Losi uses Standard sized screws, but that might be just me. There's nothing wrong buying used. Either Ebay or RCTech will work, I just don't like the pressure of bidding lol. Don't be worried about getting a junk car because you'll be able to tell if someone really took care of their stuff just by the pics. Most guys that sell on RCTech know what they're taking about and are perfectly fine answering questions. Here are some trucks currently in their for sale section: www.rctech.net/forum/search.php?searchid=18671149

@CyconXc

With the same pinion yes the Tenshock would be faster but that's because it's a 4600. I usually put a 18t on the Pro4 but I geared down one for the main, just to make sure it wouldn't thermal. That was my first 10 minute main with it so I wasn't sure.

You need to try different rear pistons. The nose diving was a huge issue when the truck first came out. After a lot of trial and error they found the stock pistons were causing the rear of the chassis to slap, sending it into a nose dive.
🤔
Overall, because the car's balance is bad, I will fall down soon!
the stock slash tires really messed u up
I have a Ford Mustang racing Rc and its not as good as these ones!!!!!
