is it possible to remove the colours in Revit? I am sure they have their functionality in Tekla, but in Revit we'd be better off without them on the architectural side...

I wanted to know whether we can import the auto ad drawing in to tekla structural designer??

Yes you can and thats how I work with architects grids to model and carry out all my analysis and designs. Save As architects layout in DXF format and close the file in ACad, and then import into TSD by going to Model>Grid line>Import DXF. In the pop up menu on the top right, tick Architectural Grids (shadow is used to overlay any layout and work on it-cant use as grids) and thats it.

When you do this, do all the structural elements come in as Families in Revit?

Hi, Abel. Yes, members coming from TSD to Revit are mapped to their corresponding standard Revit Family. If you have custom Families in Revit, you can additionally map your members coming from TSD to Revit to these custom families within the Export wizard. If you have additional questions or run into any issues, feel free to contact your local technical support team and they should be able to keep you moving along.

How do I export the steel reinforcement from Tekla structural designer to Revit structures?

Hi Masau, thanks for your question. Steel reinforcement data is transferred from TSD to Revit as a Shared Parameter. You're able to see the TSD specific member shared parameters at the bottom of the member properties dialogue. From there you're able to automate member tags, schedules, etc. If you have additional questions or run into any issues, feel free to contact your local technical support team and they should be able to keep you moving along.

I can not find "Tekla Integrator" plug-in in Revit. Can you share it

Hi Enes. Please head over to download.tekla.com and choose Tekla Structural Designer. Once within the TSD downloads portal, you'll choose 'All Downloads', then select 'Integrator for Autodesk Revit' from the Filter type dropdown.

Thanks Douglas- yes, you can send analysis results such as beam-end reactions from Tekla Structural Designer to Revit via the Revit Integrator.
