King is OP as soon as there's delay and rollback frames and a natural 100+ms delay, then he's just op when your break inputs gets snuffed by rollback frames

Hwoarang is stupidly op, just too many plus frames on long kicking strings, there's no way out

Lol he is not OP you’re just not good at fighting him, he’s actually one of the worst characters in the game. He’s extremely slow, his air juggle that could do 50% damage is 10 times harder to do than everybody else’s, his heat is almost useles, the only thing he is good at is mixups hi mid low (that you could interrupt very easily once you figure them out) i’ve been using him since Tekken 3 and he’s so bad in Tekken 8 I stop using him, once I got to blue rank with him.

She's not "Broken" like Jun, but more of a well-rounded character with visible flaws, she might be in a little op section, but that's only for the people who fail to punish her well. She's def S tier worthy (the weakest of the S tier members)

ex Zafina main here. Shes been nerfed from Tekken 7 to Tekken 8. Shes pretty complex with acces to tons of low which make match up tricky if you dont know her but ehr damage is so low right now i was stunned when i tried another character. It takes 4-5 attacks to do the damage of a single Jin punch. She need a bit of a buff, not by alot

As a Shaheen main i can say that Shaheen has some gimmicky moves, but they are nowhere as bullshit as the meta characters. I often find myself to work harder and work around opponents offense to get victory.

As a bear player, fuck that! It's the only thing that helps me get through the King match alive.

As a Leo main I think he's pretty broken when it comes to wall carry and wall damage beacause he gets a unscaled stomp for example all together I get like 99 damage thats 60% HP LOL if your able to KNK cancel you can do way more. His neutral game is not the best but when you get launched it's gonna hurt.

My mains in Tekken are Raven(I mainly use Raven because he resemble Naruto characters in his unorthodox fighting style approach and because he's very unique and authentic, he's my trump card back from T5) and I admit it that If you don't adapt to his matchup he can definitely be annoying to fight against him. Hwoarang and Jin( these two are like the symbol of Yin&Yang☯️ in my eyes, they were my mains when I was starting to play Tekken 3 for the first time many many years ago, I also like it to use Eddy Gordo as well because of his Capoeira style of fighting). My List of annoying characters that I don't like to encounter/face are: Jun, Victor, Azucena, Dragunov, Xiaoyu, King, Devil Jin, Reina(sometimes), Yoshimitsu, Feng, Jack8, Nina, Alisa and Lili. So almost the entire roster I know... 🤷🏻‍♂️😅🙆🏻‍♂️✌️

As a Zafina main for 15 years. I think she needs buff. I don't get it why they would bring her back to the game only to destory her completly in T8. I personally love her gameplay mechanics in T7 rather than in T8. Well, will see if they would buff her later. She has really lots of potential but again they destroyed her. 🥺😭😭

As an alisa main in tekken 6, even i cant deal fighting against her in 8. She's gonna fly at you then suddenly abort then into destructive mode and boom, get combo'ed

I disagree with Victor. His only superbroken tool was his grabs which will be fixed today. His sword moves are sidestepable and some other important moves have bad frames on block (df2 has -14f on block). I would put in a little op tier just for having the u1+2 that can dodge some attacks other characters cannot and the glock for zoning (its duckable tho). That's it.

You have to be patient with Victor when you are in red+ ranks because he can be punished hard. It's not all about spamming sword or 222.

Yeah Victor's most annoying move can be sidestepped but it just does way too much damage and way too safe for how high priority it is. If he's got it active, then attacking him is always a huge risk and that's totally broken. His gun and swords against a cast of hand to hand fighters is BS.

I was the flame ruler Leroy that played you and he is definitely wayyyyy weaker than he was in T7 but can still definitely work with him

Jack is pretty damn good because he has strong pokes, and his heat smash is dumb as hell because it has a 10 frame start up. Not to mention he’s always had a weird body size so it’s hard to get your spacing right against him.

I mained Nina all throughout T7. She is 100% overpowered in this game. She has easy and consistent 50-60% damage combos WITHOUT walls or stage hazards. Made her safer on moves, 11f heat engager, forward 4 giving Nina her first instant, plus on block mid, still has all over her CH moves, deletes recoverable health with throws, can't chicken her reversal, great heat smash, top 5 wall carry in the game... brother... I feel like im playing a final boss character. This dude is like "I think Nina is fine." Even as a Nina main, I believe she needs to be nerfed.

As a Paul main, I wouldn’t say he’s OP. Yeah he’s strong but has zero neutral game. He’s all about patience and waiting for a whiff. Maybe I’m just biased but in the higher ranks it’s hard to climb with him you can’t just mash

I started to main victor, with by learning a few combos, i realised one hes a little broken or simply people dont know his moves just yet. I havnt decided. Im on reds with a few hours of play though 😅

What you said about Reina is really true she is a lot easier to deal with than victor i just be like wanting to close the game when I fight victor and I’m fujin 😅

King and Lily are so freakin broken I hate that Bletch lili with her hopping attack and king users are just spamming his rage.

After playing Reina to tenryu, I can whole heartily say that 95% of people don't understand the match up at all. She has the lowest win rate online of all characters and I also believe that is because Reinas don't understand how to utilise the movelist. she's still A tier tho but definitely not broken all.

I love how you acknowledge king unlike some of the idiots talking online saying hes broken, hes stronger than most of the cast, but he is not overpowered like feng or xiaoyu. The scrubs has been reaching blue ranks now by spamming, which really disappoints me bc tekken 7 was much harder to reach blue

Alice is really broken. Her attacks are unbalanced and fast, blocking gives almost no advantage especially on her saw attacks,

Im a yoshimain since tekken 7 and i agree, hes a little bullshit in this game x) I mean he was bullshit in 7 too, but his poor balance made up for it. Now hes strong, has good frames, deals great damage AND has all of his gimmicks.

I don't have enough knowledge on the bears to comment on them.

Victor is really easy. Im completely new to Tekken and new to fighting games in general and victor just plays the game for you. You can just spam 2 and get free damage and pressure in low ranks. And in higher ranks he still has really good moves like his power crush and such. Thats why i switched to lars to work on my fundamentals and make the game a little less cheesy. Lars is still pretty cheesy though but nowhere near as brain dead as victor.

The issue is he has different grabs that you have to guess. Yes it's mostly one or two breaks but it's ambiguous. And you pretty much have to just pray and mash either combination of one, two or both. Some pros even do that because it's a guessing game

You should main whoever you want. Keep in mind, no matter who it is, some people are gonna hate on u for using that character. I mean Hwoarang and always have people telling me to pick a REAL character. So it is what it is. I do suggest trying the new characters tho, they're pretty cool.

very strong character for new players, easy excecution good. other strong characters easy excecution are june King, dragunov. dragunov of these characters is Little bit more difficult excecution ma very very strong...

Honestly ngl as kazuya player I think he's a little underwhelming, mostly due to his being. Honestly one of the worst in the game. You have some good options but rest? Why even use them. And being minus 14 on. His heat smash is kind of also a big question mark because it deals less damage than heaven's gate hellsweep (even though it's launchable on hit) but it's kind of, might as well use it over heatsmash. It is a bit of whining maybe, but honestly I'd say kazuya needs some buffs to compete with other Mishimas because if you in it just for the win and not the characters devil jin or even reina (who I think is bit more perfectly balanced than kazuya) are better for less investment

Raven isn't op at all. His clones are duckable and steppable. You can check him after a heat clone and is super unsafe on a lot of his mixups.

@@Billy.Butcher I try and then all of an sudden rollback frames are at a 2 and delay frames is at a 6 and then I can’t do anything. And once I put pressure on a law they all do that one string into a launch string if you move or press a button which still leaves them at a plus.

As a Lili main being along with Asuka on tierlist put my soul to reset muahaha☕️

Claudio is bad. He got 20 moves nerfed in either 1 to 3 aspects. 2 A tier moves removed from Tekken 7. His lows are all terrible with the exception of ss4. From 7 hit counter hit launchers to only 1 now. No grab game, stagger game weakened. His new moves are dog poop compared to what the rest of the cast got. Good tierlist overall, i do agree on many characters, but victor S tier? Nah man. his 2,2,2.... string is sooo bad, duck the 3rd hit and launch punish him. Most of his moves are linear af and u can sidestep and launch him, yea grabs are crazy but its nerfed now. You can jab or punish him all the time when he wants to enter his stance, there are to few moves that are + on block. His overall a mid character, a little bit worse that his grabs are nerfed now.

Victors shouldnt be 222 stringing unless they want some wall carry. Those low counter attacks to reset or start combos are better to poke with and fish. After a knock back, you can charge so the next hit is a counter hit and mindgame with the low

I’m a Steve main and mastering his moves is quite challenging but also quite rewarding.
