​​@@JoninJordanwith kazuya human now, he will follow heihachi advice. Tekken 8 tournament began again after the war with lili as head of zaibatsu. Jin and Kazuya were draw. Jin withdrew from the tournament leaving reina vs kazuya. Tekken 9 began as kazuya hospitalized after reina defeated him.

I was thinking “Maybe Heihachi will give her a chance, as she looks up to Heihachi and very attached to him.” But then I remembered Jin was like that once and we all know what Heihachi did after. Heihachi would definitelt kill her the moment he knew she has devil genes. Probably will pull a “Great, kind hearted father” to her and then executes her when he gets the chance.

Seems so, Based on the Story mode when Leo's Father was discussing with the group about his Research on the Devil Gene. Azazel can bestow the devil gene to others to be his servants. Maybe there are more Devil gene users aside from the Hachijo Clan, This might be a possible connection with Eliza now I think about it.

The coolest fan theory I've ever read for before TK8 came out was that Heihachi could have reasonably been turned into a Jack. Jack-Hachi, since 8 in Japanese is "Hachi". It keeps his moveset intact without damaging the canon that he's dead, he could technically keep the back-and-forth that he and Kazuya had, since Kazuya was healed back to life between TK2 & TK4, everything seemed to make sense.

Is it just me or Reyna is almost like a Mary Sue? She comes literally out of nowhere, being linked to the MOST important characters in the Tekken universe. A daugther of Heihachi, has the Devil Gene, knows the Mishima fighting style. I think it is WAY too much for a new character.

@@SeMetinIt's easy to believe where Jin came from because he looks and plays exactly like a mix of his parents. Before you even read his profile, everything about him says "Son of Jun Kazama & Kazuya Mishima". Reina literally comes up out of nowhere, and the only correlation she has to Heihachi is her moveset. It just seems like some real life Heihachi main really wanted to be in Tekken, and was given permission to write their own backstory.

Also, she has the Devil Gene but loves Heihachi. 1. No Mishima loves Heihachi (except for Kuma) 2. ESPECIALLY those with the Devil Gene. 3. If they have the Devil Gene, Heihachi would have tried to kill them, and they would therefore hate him for that. She is not Heihachi's daughter, she's a Heihachi fangirl who really wanted to be a character in Tekken.

Namco is on a roll with the contrive plots. First of was some 22 year old Japanese grandmother being some sort of all-powerful, regal and divine "devil." Now it's some Japanese hip-hop girl who is secretly carrying the devil gene and wanting to awaken it to avenge "her father." This is getting absolutely ridiculous. If Namco can't come up with a decent storyline for the series, maybe they need to reboot the series with an ALL NEW CAST.

However after the massive success of Tekken 3, they became fearful of moving the story along. This is why the plotline from Tekken 3~8 is less than 2 years... whereas between Tekken 2 into 3, the time lapse was 19 years!

I can forgive Kazumi's existence because she was sort of an unanswered question, and Heihachi's motives were left vague enough in the past to still make a story out of it. Heihachi tried to kill everyone in his family who carries the Devil Gene, and Kazuya wants vengeance for his mother and himself. It made sense to make Kazumi the start of all the Devil Gene trouble in the first place. Reina literally popped out of TK8's ass to preserve his moveset in a game where he is no longer canonically alive. Everything else about her is irrelevant.
