I mean, that's what it's called and there are more ways to do a backdash cancel. The most recommended is KBD tho. Some others include stair stepping, hitbox backdash, qcb backdash, and the tekken 8 shaheen backdash (glitch?). They're all valid but kbd is probably best unless you have a specific reason for wanting more sidestep or duck frames, or for your input setup.

Thats the neat part, you can't punish the move, it jails, so if you block the first hit you have to block the second, the only way to escape it is sidestepping, but still, if you side step, she will fly so far, so punishing it is almost imposible, her position is backturned but she also have a back parry, so yea, that move is kinda funny.

when you are hit by moves that have invisible frames on the first successful hit because you are pressing another button after that corresponds to it or frames that are plus moving into the next attack then you are locked in or in other words jailed for damage or negative movement frames , -4 -5 are frames people stumble the most with ive seen on block

The real reason they did that is not even to avoid people farming in ranked (because they implemented it in quick match too). The actual reason was to keep matchmaking alive even when the game's playerbase dwindles during the later stages of its life.

@@edgelord121 i can understand farming being an issue in ranked, but I don't see how ft3 in quick match would keep the matchmaking alive? Are you referring to putting ppl close to the same rank in quickmatch? Cause that's not the case now I get matched with ppl that are sometimes 10 ranks below me. I hopped back on 7 the other day and still find plenty of matches. I can play my buddies ofc in a lobby for a ft10 but I miss it with strangers.

@@genesishandboards no i meant suppose there are 5 people online, and 4 of them are already playing each other. if they allow long sessions, the fifth player will not find a match until they are done with their session. he is dependent on their mood to stop playing, and only then he gets the match. but if they are forced to stop after 2-3 matches, he will find a match soon enough, none of them will wait too long. this is what theyre aiming for, you will find matches much quicker in this system, but you cant keep fighting the person you might want to

The vast majority of people who play not just fighting games, but games in general, don't touch ranked modes, and don't focus on anything outside of what is on their screen at any given moment. It can jarring to think about, but relative to the level of experience of the average player, this would be advanced. The same can't be said for anyone that spends time grinding ranked, but again, it's all relative. In the grand scheme, we're a minority.

Here’s a clarification: 2:35 you can assume control of your character at any point during the replay **IF and ONLY IF** you own the character. Otherwise, you have to spend additional fees just to learn the game properly. Even if you have no intention of playing said character. Fun.

That’s irrelevant, you’re missing my point, which is the following: the amazing feature of being able to take control of your character is broken when you’re replaying a game in which you have been fighting a DLC character. So, for example, if you played Kazuya against Eddie, then you can’t even take control of Kazuya during that replay BECAUSE you don’t own the freaking DLC character. It makes absolutely no sense except from a greedy corporate perspective. Absolute garbage user experience.

It might be funny to see tmm in these vids for the newer generation, but we gotta remember, there was a time where the only way to know what was going on was to go out and get your ass beat until you figured it out on your own. This is just guidance for the ones who have no idea where to start their journey.

My character literally lays down and taking hits like there’s no tomorrow all defense is useless in this game, side walk and rolling are so badly implemented that they don’t work as they supposed to. I rolled and I get hit I side walk and get completely obliterated, it works sometimes but it’s so bad.

Ngl I've been playing tekken for 20 years and have never struggled as much. I'm enjoying the game but my defensive stlye I've always have played is suffering 😂 I'm older so it's hard to teach a old dog new tricks lmao. Recently one of my sparring buddies was asking why I'm not utilizing heat and more risky offense so happens he was correct. That was a few days ago and just from that alone I'm getting in the groove. I hate to be so offensive but this is what it is. Any other legacy players feel like this or is it just me lmao.

Love The Main Man and PHIDX. Normally I'd say buff characters up to par with Top tear. I don't like Nerfs. With the exception if something is truly broken or OP. But I hope Bandai Namco does tone down the Heat. Make it a little more Legacy and Tradition Tekken. I do agree with The Main Man even thou normally I'd say buff characters up to par with Top Tier No Nerfs. Some characters need a slight Nerf. But please don't go overboard and over Nerf them. Dont take the hammer to them keep them strong. Keep it where people can still do there combo's. They dont have to go back and relearn everything. Maybe all that is needed is slight fram adjustments. I do agree with Harada. This generation is hard to please. They want an easy mode for everything. It takes time, hard work to get good at Tekken. Lots of practice. But it one of the most rewarding games ones u understand things like. Proper Input timings spacing and so on. It also helps to watch players like The Main Man, PHIDX and other creators that play your character. Me personally I like The Main Man, PHIDX and Socalhoneybadger. I think Tekken is a great game. I do like the New Heat System. It just needs some fine tuning. It's a little strong and takes away traditional defense. As for those top tier. Dont over Nerf them. Please just adjust the broken moves. Besides that leave the character alone. They only need MINOR Nerfs. Buff the weaker characters. Some just need some better frames. I don't think this game needs much adjustments. Please go character by character buffing and nerfing. Dont do what happened with Devil Jin. Revert that and just Nerf the move Devil Jin was having issues with. As for the Tekken Shop. Personally. I don't mind paying real money for classic outfits. As long as it's at a fair price. Unlike other games. But I'd like to see if we're going to pay real money. Let us just buy direct. Dont make us buy Tekken Coins. Customers are willing to buy classic outfits. Please just set a fair price and let us buy direct. No need for Tekken Coins. I praised Tekken. I do believe its a great game. But don't be like the other games and do those tactics. U know what I'm talking about. Be honest. Set a price and let us buy direct. Keep shit simple. No gimmica or summy tactics. The Japanese are killing the gaming industry and moves right now. Learn from your competitors mistakes. Dont pickup there dirty tactics. Theres No THE MESSAGE in this game. Unlike other games. This game will most likely win game of the year. Just keep doing what your doing but drop the tactics from other developers. Dont adopt them Bandai Namco. U have Tekken and From Soft Souls Series. You guys are killing it.
