Hello guys! Finally the Custom Mesh program is here!
With this program you can edit the 3D of a model from Tekken 7 assets and change its shape with a 3D software. In this video we use Blender.
Note : This version of the Custom Mesh program is a beta version and you can only change parts of the mesh without deleting or adding any extra pieces to it.

    The app crashes on my Windows 7 computer for some reason ;u; But good lord this is awesome! I've been wishing my for _so_ long to be able to modify the meshes of Tekken and now there's hope! Thank you so much guys, awesome work!

    So you tried the windows 7 version of custom mesh program and it crashes? Thats weird, I've tested it on windows 7 and it was fine. Can you tell me what error message your pc showed you? Maybe I can fix the problem. Thanks for the good words bro :)

    @@Dragon_Paul It's just a generic "has stopped working" message from windows, no extra info whatsoever. I've tried on a couple different computers (all with windows 7) and I get the same error always :c

    @@elPatrixf The program works, with the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5. Check if you have that install on your pc. If you don't download it and hope it will work :)

    @@elPatrixf Bad luck friend, Since I dont have any windows 7 computers right now to check it, I checked it on a virtual machine windows 7 and the program works fine. I will also do some more test tomorrow hopefully I can find a solution for you.

    Question, do custom obj files work with skinning? I can see your giant paul head is blinking so imagine it does... but (just assuming) that in this video example, you are still using the same paul head albeit with modifications. Im curious if it's a completely custom head, with different topology and vertex counts will it still work? Say we put in Dante DMC's head - will we still have proper eye blinking and facial animations?

    Dragon Paul u are a genius! 🤗 Any chance of doing something similar for Tekken Tag 2? I know its a different system... but i hope emulators like rpcs3 can take mods. It would be wonderful to make modifications to tekken tag 2 characters. Thanks for being there buddy !

    Which version of Blender is it? My exported .obj files give me error in Ninja Tool that there are things missing.

    Very cool! The only problem is that i dont have all those uassets after extracting with quickbms. For example in "Tekken modding\Tekken7_ModdingTools\quickbms\out\Character\Item\Meshes" there are only material uassets, not meshes :/ do i do smth wrong?

    Thanks friend! This is the correct way to do it. 1)You should copy paste all pak files from the tekken 7 directory (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\TEKKEN 7\TekkenGame\Content\Paks) in the folder of the quickbms program. The 5 files will have similar names (pakchunk0-WindowsNoEditor.pak) 2)You should also have the tk7.bms file in your quickbms folder in order for it to work correctly. 3)Double click the extract-all_4gb_files. 4)Then press enter to start unpaking the 1 pak file, after 5-10 mins will pause and you should press enter again for the 2 pak file, do this 3 more times till it extracts all 5 paks. This process will take aprocimatetly 15-30 mins. 5)When the unpaking finishes, check in the folder "out" and you should find all the folders of the game with all the uassets (TekkenGame\Content\Character\Item\Meshes). In case you dont have the correct quickcms program donload it from this link with also 2 other tools you will need to make your mod www.deviantart.com/sirdrake89/art/T7-Tools-Kit-730588152

    Doesn't work for me, "Vertex number" when i going to import the file to UASSET, and i didn't realized anything over the model, i tried too switching the timezone and it doesn't work.

    Unfortunately for some reason it doesn't work for me correctly. I am getting error which tells that my mesh have less vertices count then uasset file. I am using the same blender version and the same import/export object settings. If I am exporting object from uasset by using this tool and import it back I don't get any errors and everything is fine, but if I import object to blender and export it without any changes (just import and export) the tool tell me that new object have less vertices count. Of course I tried to import my exported mesh back to blender and compare vertices count with original mesh and it is identical. I can't understand how this can be possible. Maybe someone here can help me with that? I tried to use both versions for Windows 7 and Windows 10. I tried to use another blender version 1.78 - the same error. I tried to use exactly the same Paul face mesh to check that maybe it works only on this face, but I am getting the same "less vertices count" error. q_q EDITED: Oh, nevermind, I was need to go and read "readme" file first. There is an answer. Sorry for my stupid comment and thank you very much for this awesome tool.

    Hey man, You cannot import custom textures with my program. You can only edit the 3d of the uasset file. You should use another program for importing your custom textures. When you download my program there is a read me file. Open it and at the end you will find a link of Astronomy's T7 modding server. There you can find the link to download the texture tool and also you can get a lot of help from the team there. Have a nice day man!

    That tool is crazy man, but there is something i can't understand. Sk_files are the actual mesh. So, when i swap items from chara to chara renaming the CI, what am i actually editing? :O Another, more important question, is there a way to import/export uv's? Vertex number is a big deal but without UV editing you can't do much sadly.

    Thanks man, the actual mesh is the Sk_file as you said. If you just want to edit a mesh of your character then you edit the mesh and you dont need any swap. If you want to bring clothes from one character to another character you need to swap the CCI_file and the CI_file. The game reads first the CCI_file, that contains the colors of the mesh, so your mesh is color able. Then the game reads the CI_file that contains the path of the mesh to load it. So when you swap the CI_file of one character with one other CI_file character you are actually telling the game to load the mesh of the first character to the place of the second character. I think you can export the uv's with the Gildor unmodel program. But you cannot change them for tekken 7 to import new uv's just to export them. I guess you want to change the textures of the mesh, which this is possible to do in photoshop and import them in tekken 7, but you will need the program Tekken7Toolkit that Dennis made. But you can find a lot of help in A5tronomy discord where they have made a ton of mods there and they surely can help you, cause I don't know all the details for editing materials and textures.     Hello. I have issues at the DROP MOD FOLDER HERE part. Says the system cannot find the file specified. I even made sure I copied the file path correctly. Also what does it mean when it says "Invalid number of parameters" ?

    Hello friend can you give me some more information? what is your folder path? where did you put your uasset file? In which directory is your u4pak.exe? Do you have any spaces in the names of your folders. example: mod folder, it should be mod_folder. The same has to be for your u4pak path.

    does anyone know why i get this u4pack error when i drop my mod in the drop mod here window? C:\Users\trevion\Downloads\Tekken7_ModdingTools\u4pak\SK_CH_law_bdu_1P_New.uasset\ Cannot perform a cyclic copy [Errno 2] No such file or directory: 'pak/SK_CH_law_bdu_1P_New.pak' The system cannot find the file specified.

    Hello friend Try the following steps hope it will fix the problem. 1)Rename SK_CH_law_bdu_1P_New.uasset to SK_CH_law_bdu_1P.uasset. Your mod will not work with the "_New" at the end. I make it like this so you dont override your original uasset by accitend. 2)You should create the folders of the SK_CH_law_bdu_1P.uasset as follow: TekkenGame/Content/Character/Item/Meshes/law/Upper/law_bdu_1p/Meshes and put your SK_CH_law_bdu_1P.uasset inside it. like so: TekkenGame/Content/Character/Item/Meshes/law/Upper/law_bdu_1p/Meshes/SK_CH_law_bdu_1P.uasset also create another folder for your mod name example law_bdu_my_mod_P the "_P" at the end is really important because its needed so your mod can be recognized as dlc update. so you should have those folders with your uasset at the end like so: law_bdu_my_mod_P/TekkenGame/Content/Character/Item/Meshes/law/Upper/law_bdu_1p/Meshes/SK_CH_law_bdu_1P.uasset 3)Drop the folder law_bdu_my_mod_P with its content into the u4pak.exe 4)you will find your mod in the "pak" folder. If you dont have the "pak" folder create it. Hope it helps

    Hello friend, I tested lucky chloe defaults SK_CH_dnc_bdu_1p and SK_CH_dnc_bdl_1p and they work fine. What files did you use? If the program tells you during importing an obj "Your imported obj model has less vertices than the uasset model." There is a tutorial in the readme file how to fix that if you have this problem.

    I really surprised that Taken 7 was made by Unreal engine and uasset files are support for many games! Everyone try create mods editing 2D textures, but this is another level. But I have an idea to support Upk files. This is the same package like uasset, that can be open by unreal editor and your tool. Thanks!

But upk files are unreal engine 3 files and Tekken 7 uasset files are unreal 4 files, am not sure how you will make it, but if you do that is going to be great! Although it was a big challenge to make this tool and still we manage to just only to able to change the size of the 3d model. I am working on my free time to figure it out how to do more ;)

    When i open my uasset mesh in 3ds max and simply just scale curtain part, not add or take away verts, then export my custom mesh out of 3ds max as an obj, it works just fine but when i try to import it inside of the tekken program it give me the error: your imported model has less vertrex then the uasset model. Tip: Do not add or delete any vertex points during editing your custom obj. Can anyone help on that?

If this doesnt work then I will have to make a video. 1)Export the obj from the uasset with the Custom Mesh program. 2)Download Blender 3d studio. 3)Import the obj in Blender with the setting that are shown in the video "keep vert order". 4)Export the obj in fbx 5)Import fbx into 3ds max and make your 3d changes. 6)Export from 3ds max into fbx your finish model. 7)Import your 3ds max fbx into blender and export it to obj. 8)Open Custom mesh program and open uasset and import your obj. Hope it helps :)

    @@Dragon_Paul All of you advice worked so far except one. When i drop my finish character file inside of u4pack it gives me an error: No such file or directory: 'pak/law.pak. Do i need to have the games paks inside of u4pack folder for it to work?

    @@cirusthevirus1001 Ok friend try this options: 1) Remove any spaces from your mod folder. E.g folder name "law power" make it to "law_power" 2)Move your u4pack folder into c like so: C:/u4pack then try to drop your mod again. 3)make sure your mod name at the end contains the _P e.g law_power_P if your mod affects any dlc content the updates that came after tekken. 4)Make sure your mod name doesn't contains _new at the end. E.g From law_power_new.uasset, rename it to law_power.uasset Best regards!

    @@i5aac1234 Friend this is a common problem and it can be fixed by changing your pc region to English (United Stades). In my download link there is a readme file that explains in detail how to change your pc region. In my new update that I will release soon there is no problem with the region but for now you can fix it this way.

    Hello man, I cannot create a new costume with the program, what you can do is taking an existing costume and mod that but you cannot do huge changes. but the mod you are insisting might be possible. You can always suggest that mod to the modding community hopefully they can make it for you. You can find the community in my readme file when you download the program.

    I'm not sure why but no matter what I do, the program says "can't export this mesh". My region was already english USA, I'm using windows 10 but I downloaded the win8/10 version. Any idea why this might be happening? I've tried multiple different uasset files. Zafina's hair, Jin's glasses, but none of them have worked for me.

    Hello friend! You problem might not be the program itself but the uasset files you are using. It happened to me before, when you are using the quickbms and unpack Tekken 7 files you should not press any button rathen than ENTER. If you press anything else than ENTER it will mess up the unpaking, causing your files to be encrypted. Maybe that's your problem.

    Actually, when I tried it yesterday it didnt seem to help so I just gave up lol. I'm really not sure what it could be. Lemme just say I have 5 pak files instead of 3, and the extra 2 overwrite the other 3, but I'm assuming those are just updates and I should treat them like regular pak files. The thing is those extra 2 ask me if I want to overwrite the original 3, and I either have to press another key or just hold enter, both of which I've done. I've also tried just exporting the original 3 but I still get the error. I dont know what to do!

    First you should open Tekken 7 and make sure you have the last update 3.31, if steam doesnt say anything about any new updates then you have the last update 3.31 Then you should download the quickcms program from this link with also 2 other tools you will need to make your mod. www.deviantart.com/sirdrake89/art/T7-Tools-Kit-730588152 Do the following steps with the new quickbms I gave you the link above. And delete the old one with all the old tekken 7 files pak you have inside, to make a fresh start.     Hi have you manage to make a tool which can increase vertices count on a model?

    No friend, I need to analyze the uasset file meshes more in order to do that but its not that easy. I have increased the vertex count but its not working and the game crashes. In order for this to work you need to also change other parts of the mesh file that are link to the mesh and I havent found all the data yet. Reverse engineering the file takes a lot of time.

    No friend I dont have any references, its not possible to import street fighter models at the moment, my tool doesnt support this and also not other tools can do that for now for Tekken.

    @@Dragon_Paul I figured it out my friend thank you for the response. So far I have ported a few characters over to Sfv, not with this tool, but it can be done. They look awesome.

    Yes in Street Fighter you can port models using Unreal Engine, but with Tekken the versions of the assets do not much with the Tekken assets, they have made some kind of encryption and its more difficult to make a tool to port models, without using ureal engine directly.

    @@Dragon_Paul i have donated already too. When this tool will receive an update? I can't export nothing, even an unedited mesh the software results to an error message of vertices. :(

    @@VictorSelkovtsk Set pc region to English (USA), restart blender, t7 custom mesh etc.

    @@VictorSelkovtsk Thank you very much friend for donating that help's me to update the program faster! This tool will have an update in 1-2 months the later. Its 90% ready I am just finishing some details. Try to change the pc region to English USA because there was a problem with the Brasil region and will fix the problem. I am fixing this problem in the new update. =)

    hey man i tried to edit some head items for law but i got this " your imported obj model has less vertices than the uassets model. Do not add or delete any vertext points during your editing your custom obj." and i actually changed the region to English (US)

    @@lookiz2835 I check it friend but there is no problem with my program, did you increase the vertices by accident during editing the mesh in you 3d studio?

    @@user-dz2bg1kl5d This file and path are ok :TekkenGame\Content\Character\Item\Meshes\elz\Face\elz_fac\Meshes SK_CH_elz_fac.uasse. Try and change the region of your pc, look in readme file and tell me if this works.

    Hello friend you need to unpack tekken 7 files with the program quickbms. Then you will find all the uassets of each player in their directories.
