What’s funny is that Mishima Ryu always reflects styles of Karate mixed with the core Mishima moveset (EWGF, Dragon Upper, Flash Punch Combo, etc) - Heihachi - Goju-Ryu (invented by Chojun Miyagi who was taught Naha-te by Kanryo Higaonna) - Kazuya - Shotokan (invented by Gichin Funakoshi) - Devil Jin - Shito-Ryu (invented by Kenwa Mabuni, and a combination of Naha-Te and Shuri-te. He was friends with Chojun Miyagi and they both studied under Kanryo Higaonna) Then we have Jin Kazama who studied Kyokushinkai (called traditional Karate in Tekken lore, but his mo-cap actor is Ryu Narushima who is a famous Kyokushin fighter). Kyokushinkai was invented by Masutatsu Oyama and was a combination of all the knowledge he’d acquired from being a Shichidan (7th Dan) in Goju Ryu, Yondan (4th Dan) in Shotokan, and Yondan in Kodokan Judo. So this mod REALLY just makes it seem as though Jin advanced his Karate to completely new heights by expanding his Goju-Ryu and Shotokan, and learning a lot of Shito-Ryu. This is even reinforced by the techniques he learns in Kazama style arts since it’s a combination of techniques from Karate, Judo, Daito-Ryu Aikijutsu, Aiki-jujutsu, and Aikido. So he just greatly expanded his Kodokan Judo (1/3 of the original Kyokushinkai style) with a shit ton of other grappling techniques AND still expanded his Karate. Probably unintentional, but lore wise (and as a Karateka myself) it’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen. The only things that make it not real life accurate are the unique moves from Kazama style and Mishima-Ryu, but they add so much personality and lore-nods that it really doesn’t detract at all. Amazing work and Godspeed. Edit: oh yeah and I liked and subbed and hit the bell Edit 2: dammit forgot Lars Lars Practices Shorinji Kempo, which is a combination of Shaolin kung-fu, Hakko-Ryu Jujutsu, Fusen-Ryu Jujutsu, and Uechi-Ryu Karate. So it again mostly expands on his Grappling skills and Karate skills, with Uechi Ryu being on the simplest and direct styles of karate, and often considered one of the best for learning how to beat ass quickly. It would also contribute to Jin’s inner balance since the balance of the spirit and mind as well as Buddhist philosophy is a key (if not the core) component of the style. So yeah, even Lars contributes heavily. And while Shaolin might seem as though it isn’t very Karate, Goju Ryu was made with Southern Shaolin and White crane techniques combined with various teachings from Southeast Asia brought to the RyuKyu royal families as a customary display of skill, and of course Okinawan wrestling (Tegumi/Muto which was essentially their own Pankration of Glima. Combat wrestling with submissions, throws, pins, slams, trips, sweeps, strangles, chokes, etc).

Yeah, if he embraces his devil side's fighting style he would be the master of 3 different fighting styles: karate (balanced), Mishima (offensive) and Kazama (defensive). Meanwhile Kazuya relies only on his Mishima style, which favors offensive.

hell no. Looks anime as fuck, and I dislike devil jin for that exact reason. Kyokushin karate kept things grounded with some sort of resemblance to reality. More like every Lars main's dream with all that pointless flailing around.

Imagine God mode where u can play broken characters on different rank like this Jin, Final Devil Kazuya, Devil Jinpachi, Devil Kazami etc. From previous game bosses And u can play normal characters too (with different rank ofc) so u can challenge yourself against cheat power opponents

For the ones asking about Jinpachi: Look at the claws. Those aren't only Devil Jin. There is a bit of Jinpachi too and even Lars.

If this goes canon, it's actually the end of the cycle. Jin embracing all parts of himself. Hope we get this for Tekken 8, then just reboot at Tekken 9.

I think this is how Jin is meant to be played. To absorb both the Kazama, Mishima and Traditional Karate all in one. He would probably be the most dangerous Character in the game if they gave him all these move sets.

Yeah, Jin is faster and a force to be reckoned with. T8 has some super strong fighters in it that are worthy for this beast.

This is the BEST moveset mod EVER by FAAAR congratulation savage ogre, you're the best tekken moveset modder of all time

He looks so cool with the full devil markings on his chest and arms. The gauntlets have always been one of my favorite things about devil jin. I've wished for years that they make them customize options for jin. And devil jin needs his white eyes and fangs back, those really helped his look!

Instead of regenning health and reduced damage taken, Ultimate Jin could have multiple health bars where he taps into different fighting styles (regular Kyokushin > Mishima style > Kazama style > Lars style), and then he uses all 4 of them + Devil powers at the last bar.

For the love of gosh.. If they toned down the abusive ability of use that move set would be sick as hell for tekken 8 no doubt.. How come they haven't thought of a damn hell sweep for Jin like that especially if he can choose to hit with overhead kick or use a punch to continue combo.. Dope as hell!
