the reason Forest has not been in any Tekken games since T3 (except tag 1 and 2) is because after Tekken 3 he was in a motorcycle accident with Paul, and became badly injured. He needed a very expensive operation, which is why his father signed up for tekken 4, 5 etc to win the money for his sons operation.

Hey I think tekken 3 is best of all the time ... Because it gives real fight experience ..the fighters fight like real one..... But in another tekken version the fighters fight like robots . In tekken 3 fighters took their time as needed to perform but in other versions they move so fast like robots. . Isn't it ?

In tekken 4 law entered because his law China went out of business. So after he wins the tournament he uses the money to resurrect the restaurant chain but then ends up opening dono. This I the ending of tekken 4

Tekken 3 was definitely a revolutionary game. I remember T3 and crash bandicoot were my were my very first games on PS1.. good times!!

We should have more of Forest Law in Tekken... I mean...they should make Law’s character cool again...Cause now in every single game, It’s always Martial Law trying competing in the King of Iron Fist Tournament for the prize money so that he can repay his debt...like it’s time to show what Forest has been doing all this time

Lol same with my dad! He picked Law first when he took the game home for the first time and I remember him telling me that I should pick Law as well. I did because even back then when I was 7 years old I was already a Bruce Lee fan thanks to my dad. Another reason is Forest Law looked like the coolest character to me but ultimately his play style matches what my brain needs all along.But he did started the fire in me that I'm a Law player. My scrubby 40 year old dad back then later picked Eddy.... Yep he slaughtered his son, daughter, nephews, niece, even my friends with Eddy and Jin just spamming and he was laughing throughout *insert De Niro Joker meme*

This is when I became a Law fan for life. I didn't have access to the game at home, got my ass beat at the arcade, knew none of these techs, but still stuck with him. Loved how he was such a good representation of Bruce Lee, even with the graphics and audio quality level of that era. The Law of today is NOTHING like Bruce Lee. I main him anyway sigh..

While Forest didn't have DSS in TTT2, he had quite a few perks over Marshall. The biggest was B121, which was a 60 damage CH launcher. D23 being tag bufferable was nice, as was his unique WS3.

I've always preferred Forest to Marshal tbh. He's more fun to play. But damn he could be a pain in the ass to deal with! Oh and I loved doing his pary. It was so cool! Bring Forest back @Namco 😭🙏🏻

Exactly. Marshall Law post-Tekken 3 was nothing but carbon copy Forest. I'm glad Forest had his own style kin TTT2. Hope He returns in 8.

Man it sucked to see how Namco neutered Forest in TT2. He was awesome in T3 & TT1.

@@RandomBlackGamer weak in tag 2? You are trippin. His kit well his best moves like 432 was safe, plus, and delayable. His back 1 was as strong as the Capo's back 1 on counter hit with the damage alone but since it was less hits it allowed more hits in combo than theirs. His launching grab with whoever you had made him a big threat. He could bound from dragon tail without wall in some instances, his poke pressure was great, his punishment was great. He really was a good character he just didn't have ds otherwise he'd be better than Marshall hands down

Tekken 3 is my personal favorite Tekken and T3 Forest is still my favorite incarnation of Law. Here are a few honorable mentions. He was fortunate enough to have 8 frame jabs. Not just that, any punch string that ended in 2,2 resulted in a knockdown. So 1,1,2,2 was guaranteed AND it gave a knockdown. He was also one of the few characters who had a low parry since low parries were not a universal mechanic yet. Low parrying a kick in Tekken 3 gave ridiculous frame advantage, enough to launch them with U/F+4 (single flip kick). d+3,3,4 was guaranteed which allowed for the same combos. So he effectively had a launcher that started from a low on normal hit. But the 2nd hit was very inconsistent and would only connect at certain angles so it wouldn't get used much.

Ahh 2:00, that’s why I loved using Law as a kid! He was also the only videogame character I knew of that had the same name as me. FOREST LAW, FIGHT

In tekken 6 Marshall law actually looks very much like Bruce Lee if you customize him that is before he’s face was changed again and I think they removed 1 of he’s hair styles that looks similar to Bruce lee’s hair in the game of death

If I'm not mistaken he also had guaranteed follow-up with b+1+2, 1 (the Punch Parry > Backfist that leaves them in BT). You could get b+2, d+2,3, 4,u+3, df+3 for almost a full bar, T3 Law was nuts.

Been using Law since Tekken 3. My favorite move is down 2, 3 followed by junk yard combo. Then I learned DSS in Tekken 4.

Actually 3 3 4 is a natural combo in Tekken 2. In Tekken 3 they reduced the natural combo to 3 4 and in Tag 1 they completely removed it.

very good video, I didn't know about the feasibility of 3,4 after punch parry, . In addition In juggle, after any b+2,3,4 a slide was always guaranteed, for almost full bar combo. Getting a sidestep 3,4 by Law = death

No one will ever know why.... And the worst thing is that Marshall looks like Forest now since Tekken 6. And in general, after Tekken 3/or 4, the series started kinda to regress sadly. Too many old characters (like Baek, Wang , Bruce etc) returned, the plot became even more irrelevant, and everything kinda stood the same since T5. At least Tekken 7 tried something new again, but it's problem is it has too many characters and not enough content.

DR Law still had b+1,2,1 but it was a knockdown just like the later games. Forest Law in ttt2 retained the original b+1,2,1 with the launch

It did max 100 damage so it wasn't OHKO (max health was 140).

Harsh truth : We like forest law more than Marshall law and want him more in the canon games.

I really don't get the point of bringing Marshall back. Like I really don't. It's not like they're all that different from eachother so why not just keep the younger guy instead of the older guy. I would seriously prefer had they just had Forrest permanently replace Marshall from Tekken 3 onwards neither of them are relevant to the plot so again it's not like anyone's gonna care. I dunno maybe I just really prefer the new generation of characters.....

I felt like it was cool in Tekken 4 and trained like that so she can find Eddy and after that she should have been let go after that. And I believe that if Forest Law makes it then he is going to have a different moveset yet here's my take on it. Forest Law had the original Junkyard Kick, original the Dragon Storm launcher, original body blow to somersault and certain kicks into somersaults more than Marshall Law. There should be certain moves that Forest can't do like 3+4 4, he should only have the dragon knuckle, no dds or dds cancels, blind elbow and machinegun punch into rave war combo to blazing fist. Forest Law should at least retain his kick cancels from TTT2. That's how I feel about Baek if he comes back have him with a new moveset and a couple of original moves along with a few select secret moves that he didn't teach Hwaorang.

@@MGDAerodynamic Correct. Forest doesn't need a dss, he was already strong in tt2 and if he comes back for tekken 8 hopefully. He can stay how he is in tt2 but much stronger they can give him some plus frames and safe mid moves and of course new moves as well.

Well Hwaorang, Jin, Eddy, Xiaoyu, Steve are all still young. Also Julia from Tekken 3 which is the same game as Forrest was brought back and if I am not mistaken Xiaoyu is about 18, Hwaorang is about the same age as Jin, Julia is like 21 or 22 now, Steve is probably in his mid 20's, Bryan is still there and Lei Wulong is a mainstay and he's not a part of the main storyline anymore. All that I am simply implying is that I prefer Forrest and he should have gotten a better chance instead of returning in only TTT2!

the best part of t3 was that every character was strong as shit. moving forward, there's jin, and geese, and everyone else.

Harada Katsuhiro shouldn't listen to the pre-Tekken 3 fans who demand Marshall back to the series. Forest deserves another spot in the canon games with his father's current movelist.

Yeah Forest should finally come back in Tekken 8. He is my main since Tekken 3. But I don't want that he gets dss like Marshall I would be upset. In tag 2 he was perfect from his moveset. Just add some new moves in 8 and that's it.

Forest is so much more fun to play ,his cancels are awesome ,his throws are so beautifuly animated, he has the original b,1,2,1 and the original d,2,3. When I play with Forest I get this feeling that he hits really hard and the Bruce lee feeling either. But with Marshall it's just empty.

I liked Forrest Law in T3 because he was Bruce Lee. Simple. As long as we have a Bruce Lee character, it doesn't matter to me what Law it is.
