You’re right, Namco was cooking in the PS1 era. I still gotta try out the ridge racer games. I’m looking at Ridge Racer Type 4 specifically, heard that one was sick. I heard Klonoa was really awesome, but that one’s going for a bit these days. Still might buy it though.

Namco was Sonys single most important third party.

Tekken 2 is the one. I can’t explain it but there is just a special charm with 2 that can’t be replicated in later games. Glad to see someone with passion for it like me.

I feel ya. The music is dope. The characters are all unique and badass. The levels look cool. The sound effects and voices are different from every other game. There's a certain vibe that Tekken 2 has that I can't exactly explain in a few words. It's just a dope style to a well made fighting game

This reminds me a lot of classic 2007 era KZread. Everything from the way you look, to the way you talk, to the way you film is absolutely perfect. If it wasn't for the camera quality I would have assumed this WAS made back in the day. Consider me a fan, I wish you the best!

Tekken 4 is best atmosphere for me. It feels like the definition of early 00s video games, and is so uniquely Tekken feeling compared to the other Tekken games. But all Tekkens before 6 have fantastic atmosphere, no question.

Tekken 2 is definitely certified. Played this one into the ground as well as a kid.

You can feel this guys passion for T2 haha. I feel the same for Tekken series man specially old entries like T2,T3 and T4.

Dude how old are you? I'm 34 so I have a lot of nostalgia and respect for the creative limitations of old consoles. I'm intrigued by younger generation appreciating this stuff. Thanks for sharing!

Tekken 2 has the best intro out of them all!

The video quality, simple filming with no edits, and the retro consoles plus CRT TV makes this feel like a mid 2000's KZread video. Love the production! So awesome! 🙌💯

The Tekken 2 OST is top 10 greatest gaming soundtracks of all time. The darker more brooding and elegant atmosphere is very unique to it unto itself. Tekken after this became more party fashion sentric. Even tho its not the best playing Tekken game,its soundtrack, atmosphere, aesthetic and the characters debuted here make it my favorite Tekken game.

First played Tekken 2 in 1997 and it's still my favorite. While 3 was an incredible leap forward, Tekken 2 has a tone and aesthetic that has been lost from the series since.

Watching this video made me happy. It reminded me of me when I was younger, playing video games - talking about how much I enjoyed them so much. Good. Because Tekken 2 is usually forgotten because everyone and their grandmothers always choose Tekken 3 as their favorite. I personally love Tekken 2 (because, yes, it was my first), but also it shows Kazuya as the main antagonist.

What a great coincidence that just yesterday I started replaying my favorite old fighting games like Tekken Tag Tournament and then I get recommended this great video. Its got my fave OST of the series, especially Yoshimitzu and Kazuyas stage and i just love the vibe of the game. This is such a nostalgic video. Tekken & Tekken 2 were my introduction to tekken when i was a kid in 1994 and i grew up playing tekken 3 in the arcades in 1998. You just earned a new subscriber and keep up the awesome work 🙏🏾💯.

Most people's first tekken was 3 but this was my first tekken and my introduction to the series. I remember getting this on my birthday back around 2000 or 2001 when I turned 6 or 7

Love seeing this kind of thing in 2024. Gaming nowadays blows in comparison to these classic gems. Whilst I also think Tekken 2 is very cool personally my favourite is Tekken 4, purely because the story of that game hit me like none of the others. I really felt immersed in it. The storyline was epic, the visuals were stunning for the time and the music was amazing, particularly in the dojo stage. I had great memories from playing the original on the PS1 all the way to Tekken 5 on the PS2, also played a fair bit of them in the arcades. Tekken 6 was where I felt the magic was lost.
