Hi! I am Turkish. For my businesses I visited Tehran 14 times in the last 20 years, I am frequently travelling in Europe, Asia, South America and Middle East. After Turkiye, Iran is the only country which I feel like at home, every time I come there. I believe this is about the Iranian people. Iranians are good, hospitable and sincere people. They are civilized human beings which I witnessed very rarely on other countries. I had very warm feelings to see a small part of Tehran in your clip - very friendly, best regards from Turkiye.

In the US, the transit systems are still lagging behind. New York City metro, for instance, is still not as clean and modernized as the ones from Iran and Turkey. For the US to be the "richest country in the world," we still have no high speed trains.

US is the "Richest" country in the world only for the Rich. Rich people do not use Metro. they're too busy milking citizens for every penny they've got to care for such mundane tasks such as Keeping people off the streets and keeping Metros clean. how else do you think they can fund such immense Military budget?

Heres something you may find interesting. :) The name of my country has nothing to do with the interesting and delicious bird ''turkey''...... .....but the name of the bird does have a connection with the name of my country, let me explain. :) Name of my country has always been Türkiye, it's been known as such since around the 1200's. The name it self has a suffix, '' -iye '', that is Turk-iye, where the -iye suffix means 'land of/belonging to', just like the Latin suffix of '' -ia '', which exists in such country names like Austr-ia, Austral-ia, Latv-ia, Roman-ia etc etc again meaning 'land of/belonging to'. Many would remember the country Czechoslovak-ia which changed it's name to Czech Republic and a few years ago changed that to Czechia (that is Czech-ia). The Latin suffix -ia probably originates from Turkish -iye as Turkish is much older, ancient Turkish been over ten thousand years old. Spelled in different languages in different ways to phonetically resemble '' Türkiye '' we got various spellings like; Turquía (in Spanish), Turchia (in Italian), Turquie (in French) and Turkey (in English) all trying to resemble the pronounciation of ''Turk-ia'' thus Turkiye. Mind you this was way before the animal we currently know as 'turkey'' was found by the europeans when they explored the north americas. The bird was first sent to europe from north americas in the year 1519, so up until that point there was no bird named 'turkey'.... ...they came across the bird and thought it was a specie of the fowl/chicken they had been buying from the country of Turkiye at the time, so they named the bird ''Turkey Fowl'' meaning ''Turkish Chicken''..... ....just like how a dog breed is known as German Shepherd (because it's from Germany), American Bulldog, British Terrier, Greek Harehound etc etc. In time you don't get to call the Greek Harehound as simply as ''Greek''; or you don't call the British Terrier as ''British''; or the German Shepherd as ''German'', but in time the Turkish Fowl started to be called just ''Turkey'' and later ''turkey'', and has been going on for hundreds of years. Now in modern times, this is causing confusion, especially when we have people across the world unable to point to their own country on the map, this ''confusion over the naming'' needed to be corrected. So my country decided to rectify this confusion that has been going on for so long and corrected the name to Türkiye, which it always was. Basically we didn't change the name of our country, we changed the mistake made in the English language. : ) So, there's some tid bit information for you to have a great day, if you read upto this point you have a great night too, ohh just have a wonderfull life. : ) Best wishes. ;)

İstanbul metro is the first in the continental Europe and one of the largest in Europe and in the world. It was established in 1875 in Ottoman Empire. London is the first in all Europe. You can have a train ride from İstanbul to Paris and then to London. An amazing ride with mind blowing vistas indeed. Many cities of Türkiye have also extensive metro systems. Turkey is a secular country. This country produces its own high speed trains. Turkey has technology based economy with so many products in all areas. Turkey does not have oil or gas reserve based economy, like Iran. Tehran has a lovely metro system though.❤

In Iran, there are signs in English as well as Persian, which is the Iranian language. Because English is an international language. There is an exact map of all routes, entrance and exit signs and station names in both languages. But expecting to be in different languages is completely illogical and stupid. Because no country has signs in different languages. Rather, it is in the host country's own language and the international language is English. You should definitely not expect it to be in Italian, French, Korean, Japanese, etc. It is much better to think first and then speak. Have you ever heard of something called an international language?! International language was created for this reason.

Hello, I'm Turkish. I watched your video and actually, apart from differences in clothing and appearance, I didn't see much of a difference. We love the Iranian people, and it pleases us to have a developed neighbor country because there's a saying I love: "You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with." We can say the same for countries; the more developed countries you're surrounded by, the more developed your country becomes. Europe is one of the best examples of this. Therefore, being two developed countries side by side will also influence the other countries around us.

This is really great and helpful too. I have travelled on the Tehran Metro many times on visiting and two important points; it is as you say very clean - particularly when compared to those in Europe and N. America. Secondly is the point of price that by making it so affordable and comfortable for all it encourages people not to use their cars and travel by the metro. I can remember (I am that old!) when Tehran had a serious problem with vehicle pollution - such that on some days you could not use your car if it had certain registration- it as all major cities still has some pollution problems but this is one way to deal with them. Happy New year from us and hope to be with you by your Nowrouz.

I am from London. I have travelled on many underground/metro system around the world, close your eyes and the sound of the trains, the people, escalators, it is all so similar. Ok there are some local differences, but overall these transport systems all do the same job and mostly in a similar way. Istanbul and Tehran are included in these comments. I have never been to either city (I would not be allowed to visit Iran) but to me both systems look very similar to each other. Thank you for sharing on KZread.

The video was nice, but some Iranians I've seen commenting on social media are jealous and liars. They are constantly making comparisons. Let's make a real comparison. The two cities are Istanbul and Tehran. One of the capital of empires, it is the most curious visited historical city in the world. The other is the capital of Iran. There are 11 lines in Istanbul. The metro length in Istanbul is 2 times bigger than Tehran. The rail systems in Türkiye are bigger than Iran. Türkiye's economy is 4 times bigger than Iran's. Türkiye's exports are five times more than Iran's. Türkiye is bigger than Iran in every sense of political, economic, cultural, sporting and military. Do not ignore these facts when making comparisons 😂
