And some parents get their children certified as ADHD so the kids get amphetamine prescriptions (which calms them down) but the adults steal he medicine instead because it makes them high.They never intended for the children (or child) to take it. They use the kids to get drugs for themselves.

@@jcboom6894 , aren't Adderall and Ritalin two of the most common drugs that parents steal from their kids? I had a daughter with ADHD and I treated her with the Feingold diet for hyperactive kids. It worked great, but took a lot of time, hard work and dedication.....most parents today are too lazy and just want to drug their kids into submission.

I can just see Teeny thinking “Mum you are wasting food I could be eating.” Teeny doesn’t take her eyes off the sweet potato and that potato seems as big as Teeny.

That's so true. It really sucks for her, but she's going to find it hard to do that.... beings this is all she knows. We can only pray that she gets better with time. Bless her heart.

@@gatorrollu2799 A study was done on monkey babies years ago. The researchers took them from their mothers and then offered them a bottle or some wire with cloth on it (supposedly a mother monkey to them). They picked nuture over food. That is what Teeny is doing, picking nuture over food. But she was really hungry today and was actively going for food but then she would turn to Tina's arms.

@@naimross3140 I do see your point. And as I've said before, their world is different than ours. It's hard to be a human and understand their world cause, as humans we would have a hard time taking anything from a child, let alone your own child. But They live by such a different rule. That you have to step back to understand their world.

Tina is clearly not “starving” if there are bits she doesn’t like and won’t or doesn’t eat. When she takes Teeny up a tree, Teeny cannot get scraps (and there are quite a few). Tina looks pregnant again, so another indication that she is not nutritionally deficient.

@@conniegiarth8143 if she is preggers, at least she'll have to turn Teeny loose and possibly won't be stealing all her food anymore. Of course, it just means the hell of starvation will be passed on to the new infant, unless it, too, dies in infancy like Tibbin.

The second it looks like she is sharing with teeny, she climbs a tree so that her scraps fall off into the woods and neither of them get them. Gesturing towards her smacking your hands together and yelling at her and pointing at her when she looks will let her know that you see what she is doing and that it is wrong. I wouldn't just be silent. I'd give her a scare everytime. She can't raid pouches while she is running off after getting yelled at.

@@Mandy7D7 I agree too. If he makes noises at Tina maybe she will go farther back in the woods and that would give Reeny a little time to eat. But there is always the chance she would go grab Teeny first. Actually I would not mind him hitting Tina with a very small stone if she is not holding Teeny. It is a shame the way Hong Kong chooses to pick them for neutering and spaying. They put food in large crates and when it shuts they take the monkeys in it. That guarantees they will neuter or spay the high ranking monkeys because the lower ranking cannot get food first. This is sort of the reverse of survival of the fittest because the fittest are getting the surgery. But darting is expensive in drugs and supplies and very labor intensive

This was Teeny's best day ever ! And on her special birthday. And she learned something today to get way down the road from Mum.

GIVE TINA TWO OF THEM SO BOTH OF HER HANDS ARE FULL, AND IT TAKES HER TWICE AS LONG TO EAT. 😭

It makes me so sad that Tina starves and then in turn her babies starve also! She uses them as her portable bento boxes! Thank you Arroz for always taking care of Tina’s babies and the underdogs! 💞

Tina is not starving. She is in really good condition. The number of people going to the park is far more than usual so the monkeys are being fed all day. She is not starving. Skinny was the only monkey Mother who was truly starving and she fed and cared for her baby anyway.

Yaaaaaay Teeny!!! Just a little bit more of some feedings like this, and she'll be even more spunkier to fight for, and keep, her food!!! I pray for Teeny! And Tina too, so that she will be fed enough to stop this behavior. Thank you again, sooo much, Arroz. I am thoroughly convinced Teeny wouldn't be here if it were not for you. It is so hard to watch Tina doing this to poor little Teeny. Teeny is such a good baby. She causes no trouble and unlike some of the other monkeys her age it seems she would much rather forage for her own food than be hanging from mom’s milk bar all day long. She needs more than just milk to survive at this age and especially since she seemed to be malnourished on just milk alone.

Greedy only males at least 4 drop of milk and if teeny is lucky maybe 5 drops of milk. And that a bug maybe though.

I get so angry watching Tina taking Teeny's hard earned food.

I know Tina's family is the lesser of all the monkeys and all of the are hungry but this is craziness with her mom and sister stealing the food out of mouth it just makes me sick to watch teeny hasn't got a chance in hell I feel so bad for that sweet little one ..

I think she's pregnant AGAIN TOO!! Good for Teeny, not so good for the new baby, because I don't think it will have a chance, but it will definitely give Teeny a chance to grow and prosper for a change!!! I really don't want to watch another baby suffer though!

The more independent she becomes, and once she is weaned, Tina will stop. It is a trait only seen in the lowest ranking troop members, where a mother takes from her child as a means of survival, if all was right with the world Tina would produce enough milk for her baby. As much as we love to hate Tina, without her, Teeny would never survive!

It’s so upsetting to see her toss that food away like that when we can clearly see how hungry that baby is. Tina about came unglued when Teeny tried to get a bite. I can’t stand her.

The only way Tenny will be free is for Tina to have another baby.

It is happening. Teeny is beginning to fight back at having her pouches raided. As she makes the connection between having food to eat or hanging with mom, she will fight harder and harder. She will make it. I know it is so hard to watch but I am sure that it is even harder for you since you are right there and just want to help her so much. I appreciate that you are so careful with feeding so that they don't end up getting hurt like the monkeys in Cambodia. On a totally different note, this camera is amazing. I remember when you upgraded the last time and I was amazed at the quality of your zoom shots but this is amazing. The clarity from such a distance is really great. Thank you for another wonderful video, Arroz. It is something I look forward to three times a week and during our stay-at-home orders, it is another level of appreciation.

Its good that Teeny is learning to defend what she has, but on the other hand you can see how the cycle will continue.

Arroz, you know the behavior isn’t driven by hunger...she will still steal from Teeny’s pouches even after she has eaten her fill.

Well, I gave myself a headache from yelling at Tina through my phone! She is hateful. Skinny is hungry but she doesn't starve her kids. At least, Teeny finally got to keep some food. Although I wonder if her mouth is cut up inside from Tina's vicious nails and teeth. God, please continue to keep Teeny going.

It's good to see Teeny so animated, she's usually so quiet. There is hope there she will survive. Seems to be walking better too with more cordination. Tina is a loving mom. Seriously she protects Teeny, she just looses her mind when it comes to food. I often wonder if that has to do with her rank and how food is distributed through the ranks.

Arroz strategy pays off for Teeny (yay)! Keeping Tina's hands occupied buys Teeny precious time to chew and swallow more of the food she's worked so hard to collect. And Tina even shared a little, wow. It's so nice to see Teeny catch a break in this set of videos. Thank you Arroz for your persistence and creativity to help her. I have so much respect for this little girl, seems funny to think that but she's so persistent, always looking for opportunities and when she finds them she forages as much as possible. For those of you that like read and would like to read about monkeys I recommend Robert Salposky's "A Primates Memior: A Neuroscientists Unconventional Life Among the Baboons". He is a neuroscientist at Stanford and started going to Kenya, living in a tent on the Massai Mara (Kenya's Part of the Serengeti) when he was an undergrad at Harvard and continued during grad school and beyond. He spent time in Kenya at least part of the year for about 29 years The book is about the troop he was studying and his relationships with the troop and people. Yes, he is a scientist but he tells about the Baboons in a hilarious style. He was studying the effects of stress hormones in primates, but he did not get into the hormonesHis TED Talk is funny too.

3:45 This is what most monkeys are about FOOD! Literally Taking the food out of their babies mouth. As much as I love watching these animals this is one thing I’ll never understand. Spend all that time weaning only to get them to forage for their own food only to steal it out their mouth.

Tina is letting Teeny have little bites because Teeny is simply Tina's cupboard. She about rips Teeny's mouth into pieces to get at Teeny's pouches. I have not seen the Cambodian Long Tails do that to their babies and for the most part they are not particularly good mums. I looked at SP earlier this week and he must by 20-25 pounds overweight. The Cambodians do not give a flip about the mknkeys. Thank you, Arroz, for taking care of these Rhesus macaque troops, dspecially Teeny and Kailey. You are a good man, Charlie Brown.(I think Lucy said that.)

Teeny is one determined baby, unfortunately if she becomes a mother she will probably continue this behaviour. It was pretty clear that Tiny was trying to take advantage in earlier video's. He learned from mom. I hate to say it but sterilization is probably the only way to break this cycle. :(

Makes you wonder with a mother like that, that when that baby dies of starvation...would she rip open the stomach and steal the contents from there as well??? I have never seen a mother completely steal every crumb from a babies mouth, when she has the 'know how' to get food on her own, and does NOT feed her child. Watched this when it first aired. I think I called Tina everything but a child of God. Now it is February 4, 2022, I know Teeny is a healthy, happy, bouncy young monkey. I still cuss Tina when she raids Teeny's pouches. Very frustrating, even knowing Teeny makes it and eventually gets near normal size.

Why isn't Teeny being weaned? Don't the mothers usually wean the little one around 4-5 months?

Omg! I have never seen a mum take food out of baby's mouth! Can't watch!

Tiny doesn't want Teeny to get too far out of reach. It would make it too hard to track her down and steal her food!

It would be great if able to place both in a cage, but separated compartments. Feed only Teeny and see the reaction from Tina. It would be really interesting to monitor their behaviour and see whether Teeny acted in her usual submissive manner.

Other than the obvious reason of pilfering her pouches, why won't Tina let Teeny down ever. I know she's small but no other moms do that. 8 mos old is damn near on your own a new baby is coming. I couldn't possibly agree more with you! This kind man has good intentions but we all know that old saying " The road to hell is paved with good intentions " and I truly think that he is doing more harm than good at this point.

Makes you want to slap the crap out of her.. leave that baby alone. She worked hard for that!

Crazy. as if tina doesnt wan her to have the scraps either. let her go so she can at least try. its like tina is waistful and then doesnt let teeny try and catch watch she drops. she is so damn annoying. i cant wait for teeny to get the strength and say let me go no leave me be damit. i ove that tiny never shows up in videos with them he knows his mther is a greedy monster. he left and sees he is better off fighting for food then he is with her taking it all from him. i think teeny will be the same once she leaves she will hang around but not for long once she sees the more she stays away the more she can keep.

I now sometimes careless about Tina’s bad habit of taking or grabbing foods from Teeny’s pouches because Teeny’s safety is Tina’s primordial concern above all, food just being secondary, we still have Teeny and watch her play, Kayley is no longer with us, Jipsy was not at all concerned to Kayley’s safety and that was heartbreaking for us who really love Kayley.

👀 Tina literally looks at Teeny eating the scraps, picks her up and takes her up a tree where she can only reach them as they fall when she fights Tina off of her for a second, pieces she can barely chew and were surely taken when Tina was finished with hers.. 🤔

But you've also seen earlier that Teeny could just manage to swallow a good portion of her goodies before mum could reach for them. So now it's not a one-sided game anymore. Teeny has learnt and could score a few points in the process for herself too. The main thing is she'd be better at the end with more nutritious stuff in her stomach ( in particular soy beans ). I could never change Tina's behaviour ( she's been doing so with Tiny and probably with every single baby born before Tiny ) and Tina will raid Teeny's pouches regardless, and she does it every time she sees her with something in her pouches, crumbs or not. What matters is what Teeny gets at the end. I am there only only once or twice a week and I want to see it through that she will have something. God knows how many times she ends up with nothing when visitors just randomly feed them everyday.

I was so fed up with Tina I was calling for you to stop giving her goodies. I had no right to complain, I watched the edited video while you had to stand there and watch it happen in real time. The urge to scoop her up and feed her or plunk her mother over the head would've been crushing me. You never gave up on her.

Sorry but I wouldn't give Tina a Damn thing. I feel as though thats rewarding foul behavior. Because its not like teeny benefit that much compared to Tina having 2 whole sweet potatoes? Amd im not buying the driven by hunger excuse either. Its sad because what I see is that teeny doesn't have nothing if her corner. Everything thats transpiring is all in Tina favor. Regardless of whats verbally being said. Think about it.🤔🤔🤔

Sadly that would probably be the best thing for Teeny at this point. If Tina had another baby. Yes it would create another starving child. But it would take the focus off Teeny when her pouches are full. Tina I don't think would put a new born baby down unprotected to scoop up Teeny and force food out of the pouches. But like I've always said is you can't predict crazy. So even speculating what Tina may or may not do with a new born baby and Teeny is anyone's guess until the scenario actually happens.

I'm starting to think teeny saves the food in her pouches just for her mom to take it
