Teeny will always forage. It`s not a habit, it`s her survival skill.

Well she may not spend every waking second of her day foraging like this. She has no choice now because she knows whatever she gets, mom is going to steal most. This was the first time I’ve ever seen Teeny resist or try to get away from Tina when she grabbed her. Teeny is getting stronger and stronger. One day Tina won’t be able to hold her down and steal her food. She will unfortunately have another baby and she will do it to that baby too.

primatology grad UPenn Teeny is almost a year old. Teeny was nursing recently but I believe she is now weaned. The mother steals food from her and I believe was not producing enough milk and so her development was off. She I guess in a sense is failure to thrive, however Arroz made some of the local feeders aware of her case and she has recently started to put on weight.

Her little squeaky noises are just too cute!! Way to go Teeny, show them your feisty side. Thanks Arroz.

Is this my girl Kathy with the kitten named "ORRI" ? My sweet girl Teeny sounds so cute with those little squeeking sounds! 😘😘 (Bless her little ❤)

11:15 it’s almost silly, but I got a smile on my face just watching her pick up a stick and idly play with it. I saw her trying to engage that other yearling in play in your recent video - but this is the first time I’ve seen her looking like a regular young macaque. Pouches full of food, being a nuisance to others, goofing off and chewing on sticks. Actually interacting with her surroundings and developing, instead of spending all her energy and attention just trying not to starve. What a transformation!

Way to go teeny! You stand your ground girl and I think that older monkey who was eating the Apple was actually standing up for Teenie too

I loved every second of it! I was smiling and so proud of her. Our Teeny seems like she is going to be alright.

The way Teeny asked the other yearling to scratch her back after standing her ground... it reminds of like when two kids know they both about to be in trouble and try to play it off

Teeny, such a sassy little warrior, her squeaks of excitement are adorable, I find myself having to turn away when Tina grabs hold of her, it’s so sad she can take off her little girl, but it doesn’t stop teeny in anyway bless her, my favourite baby, thank you Arroz

Bless her..i keep saying she's got true grit and there was no way she was going to give that bit of apple up to a squirt..Tina well she's got no chance..but I'm suprised that older monkey stood up for Teeny and sent the yearling away..i think she has got that bite because she just wades in when there is food about and not waiting her turn like Tina has taught her but i think it's just desperation for food as she has really starved up until a few weeks ago when Arroz put his save Teeny master plan into action.. this little scrap will take no messing as she gets older.. .what a character she is. And she was licking that wound..which looked like a bite..isn't nature wonderful (sometimes) enabling them to lick their wounds better because of what is in their saliva .. c'mon Teeny..now just poke your mom in the eye and run if she trys to steal your hard won food..you can do it girl. .🇬🇧🇬🇧💞💞💞💞🐾🐾🙈🙊🐒🐵🙉😍😎👏👏

I'm really surprised none of the other monkeys took the slice of apple away from her! Maybe she was waiting for them to take it out of her pouch, like her mom and sister do. Ugh, yup, there's Tina, right on schedule 😞

I don't think I have ever heard a little one make the kind of noise that she was doing when she wanted some of that apple so very bad!! Made me sad the other's just go on but she kept coming back she couldn't forget about that apple!! I was so thrilled she got a piece of a apple!! Actually a want of her's was finally granted!! Never in her life before I would think! I kept saying out loud Teeny be quiet and go hide from your mom!! I really can't believe she got most of that apple down before Tina snatched her up and emptied out her pouches!!! I would just love to be close enough to Tina just one time to give her a good swift kick when she is taking Teeny's hard found goodies!!! Thank you Arroz for all you do!!!

Teeny reminds me of a puppy being away from its mom for the 1st time...her squeaks & hoots are so darn CUTE!

So the “car” came back and gave teeny an apple 🍏 ;)...I’m glad she’s getting fed

Lol yeah the "car" turned around and came back with one more Apple...and must've had a knife in the car also..b/c Teeny had a slice..not a bite..a slice. Haha..we know what's up Arroz..and it's good she did get something although her POS mother greedily takes everything out of her mouth. Thank god for that "car" turning around! 😂

It's heartwarming to see Teeny thriving. She's walking better. Her fingers and toes seem to be uncurling. She's a fighter. I hope she learns to hide till her pouches are empty but seems that she's not giving up as easy now to Tina. Too bad she can't have a protector as Kailey has found.

The arrival of the dark clouds is ominous and symbolic of Tina. She hovers over her children like a dark cloud only to steal in a flash, what Teeny has spent all that time and effort gathering and fighting for. Arroz you are a better human than me. I don’t condone violence against animals but in Tina’s case I’d make an exception. It would take everything in me not to send her rolling down that hill like a bowling ball!

I noticed that too and wonder if he is possibly her father. Babies naturally find and hang around whichever is their biological father. He allowed Teeny bits of the apple as well. It's so nice to see someone on her side, in the Troop.

How can you not fall in love with Teeny! My goodness she almost seems to have a form of dwarfism, maybe even Primordial. She is evenly proportioned just literally Teeny! We hardly hear a peep from this feisty little girl but her geckering this video could melt the coldest heart!!! Thank you Arroz, I hope you truly know how special of a gift these videos are to us all! In these unsettling times we live in right now, one thing we know for sure is that we can all come together to share in this beautiful gift you share with us! There is no hate from your viewers just a love for Our gang and all the other Rhesus' who call Monkey Hill their home! I know you enjoy your anonymity but If I had one wish it would be to walk through monkey hill just and chat about all of your adventures! Your travel videos and photography are awe inspiring! 2020 has definitely been a weird year so far...It is Canada Day here and this is the first time in my 41 years on this earth that there was absolutely no celebrations whether it be fireworks or something as simple as a family BBQ. Here in Ontario we are not allowed to gather more than 10 people together. So we made the best that we could and had a nice dinner and just spent time as a family! I am sending so much love to all those who are needing it right now

I remember Tiny not playing but foraging all the time.

I've never heard Teeny squeak so much.....she sounds every bit as cute as she looks. I'm glad to see she's standing up for herself. I guess when you're that small you have to fight for every scrap you get. It's too bad she can't stand up to Tina that way. Hopefully, once Tina has the baby she'll be too occupied with it to bother Teeny so much.

Teeny is nothing like her mother or brother. She is very brave, even though it costs her.

Those squeaks were awesome. I really do hope she is starting to stand up for herself but she still has to be careful who she takes on in case she does get a bite. I do like the way she hung around trying to grab bits of that yummy apple but who goes to visit the monkeys in a car with 1 apple 🍎. Glad you could get a video out. I know that I’m viewing it from a human perspective, but surely a baby crying and scavenging in front of your very eyes would stir up a smidgen of empathy.

I noticed that the adult monkey behind Teeny when the one year old tried to take her apple came to Teeny's defense, driving the intruder away. I think she gave Teeny the slice that Teeny had. So our little girl has friends.

I love the sounds that Teeny makes. Unless she is in harms way she needs to be quiet. I am sure Tina heard her before she saw her. It's coming together she knows how to hide now. To many things for a baby have to put together. I enjoyed myself on a recent video when Teeny wanted to play.

Looks like a small puncture. I thing they get hurt on the sharp edges of that wire fence used for erosion control! She certainly is doing better!

Can you imagine what a magnificent treat, both nutritionally and taste wise, that apple was for Teeny...... her little squeals of delight while eating it were just precious! But she needs to learn to keep quiet so she doesn't alert Tina that she has something tasty. Teeny wasn't just defensive toward that; she was even a little aggressive! Lol. That was cute to see her warning the other monkey to back off. Then Tina had to come along and steal from her again.😤

Teeny & Dopey will always be my favorites. I still worry about Teeny due to her low status but she has already surprised me with her survival skills. I want HK to hire a primate specialist to develop a plain for monkeys and humans to peacefully coexist. If they don’t plan it will not turn out well for the monkeys.

@@busyramone5586 Babies hang around the males who fathered them, and they do protect them. Grandee does this with his own even if one is picking on the other. He also allows them to sit with him while eating and have his scraps. This is the only time I've seen in a situation much like that. She kept looking back at him before her moves. Like she knew he'd have her back.

Damnit Tina! Teeny worked so hard to defend herself. Grrr!

when she grabs the stick-leaf thing near the end after doing her hopping ninja move on the bigger kid, it looked at first like she was gonna use it as a sword lol

Oh my goodness, Teeny is so adorable! With her little squeaks and protests, she is a tiny force to be reckoned with! I noticed that monkey with the apple came to her defense when she got her bit of apple, and didn't chase her away when she was scrabbling around for scraps. Tina, well Tina is Tina. It's a good thing Teeny is foraging on her own. Love and health to you all. ; )

Hong Kong macaques definitely have a sense of fairness regarding children. Your videos often show an older macaque defending a baby or juvenile against a bully, and sometimes it’s not even the parent.

Poor Teeny. Another wound? If she’s out in her own, can that doll, Tina, be far behind?

Tina ain't stupid she ain't gonna let teeny get big and lose her food but she doesn't realize teeny will eventually get big

She’s learning to empty those pouches quick thankfully, Tina doesn’t look to me to be missing any meals so it’s amazing to me still that she swipes from her young and has no milk.

She melts my heart too bad her family are the main bullies taking her food out of her mouth I get so freakin mad I love animals I very much dislike teenys mom, sister,tiny. Her brother learned from her he was a sweet boy now instead of helping his little sister thrive they steal the food from her mouth. I feel teeny if she can have babies will not do that to her babies. Having to hide from your own family to chew what little food you can find is heart breaking.

Who was the older monkey that was eating the apple and backed Teeny up by giving that yearling crap? Maybe Teeny is treated differently by the other monkeys when Tina isn't around?

At least she's eating some of it I see her eating it out of her pouches so she got some of it at least

Whatever the reason, it’s dangerous for Teeny. She is low ranking and will remain low ranking. Her behaviors are a good way to get her ass kicked.
