Teensy Ambrosia Maple Bowl!
This little chunk of Ambrosia Maple is small but it's mighty pretty!!
It's for an up coming craft sale but my Technical Advisor is threatening to keep it!
This video is meant to show you how I do these projects. Please don't try to copy the things that I do in my shop. When I say "It tried to kill me" I'm kidding around but please understand that these machines are dangerous! Always use safety equipment and be cautious. BE SAFE!!

Dave another fine piece of work I can see were the fun of lathe turning and discovering the surprises inside the raw block of wood is so satisfying. Well done my friend.

Thanks so much! You're absolutely right. Sometimes it's like Christmas...you don't know what's in the box til you open it! You can help discover what's in it by reasoning it out before you start ripping off the paper...

Hunks of wood like that with all their natural beauty are exactly why I don't go near engineered wood products for the most part. If one takes away all the nuance, well it might as well just be plastic, no?
