Cool man, nice tone. I love the jubilee tone. I don’t have one but I use a kemper and two of my favorite profiles are a cranked jubilee and a Friedman Dirty Shirley, which has a similar tone. I do have to use EQ pedals and boosts to get them a bit tighter. I’m assuming you’re using a boost or EQ pedal too?

Hey bud, the Jubilee is such a fun amp, one of my favorite Marshalls ever made. I used to own the Dirty Shirley and really liked it but to my ears it had much more bass and a tad less gain than the Marshall. As far as EQ or boosts I don’t use that at all for any of my covers unless I specifically want to go for a certain tone. Then I normally would throw a Boss SD1 or TS9. Cheers 🍻

@@90sPunkRockCovers cool man. Yea well I’m coming at this from a weird point of view because I’m using the kemper profile versions of these amps, so there is a difference. But from what I have seen, many people who want the overdriven Marshall tone (such as EVH, Slash), where there is a lot of high and mid frequencies, used modded Marshall’s and like a boss EQ pedal. The dirty Shirley profile on the kemper is low gain and a bit bass heavy, but when I use a eq pedal and a TS it transforms into a very classic overdriven Marshall tone. I like when my neck pick up starts sounding like a strat when playing lead.

@@slashtrio yeah, I remember getting good results throwing a tube screamer in front of the Shirley. I was always curious about trying the twin Shirley, I think that one has a bright switch added and probably gave it that little top end I always through the original was missing.
