I've been waiting for you to hear this song, yeah at the time they didn't know this was their last song on their last album....yet what a way to go, beautiful song really featuring Robert's incredible vocals...so the three surviving members did reunite for a concert in 2007 I believe was the year and the drummer who died, his son Jason plays the drums for that concert !! When that concert was announced, requests for over 20 million tickets came in...it's called "Celebration Day"

Best song of the album IMO. Thanks Silas. Coda completes the set although it is a below par collection in both quality and length at about 30 minutes. Followed up by 'The song remains the same' Live, which chronologically should have been after 'Physical Graffiti'. Then 'No Quarter - Page and plant Unplugged', which has different arrangements and instruments plus a few new new songs on which the old LZ is mostly unrecognisable. There is a live collection 'How the west was won' then their last concert with Jason Bonham, Bonzo's son, filling the drum stool, on 'Celebration Day - 07'. You could also look at Plant's solo albums were there are many great songs and hidden gems including a double CD of him through his pre LZ and solo career called 'Sixty Six To Timbuktu' which I recommend as worth a listen if not a reaction. 10K and climbing, keep it up Silas 🤘

To me this song is an absolute classic, it's so laid back I love it, Plant never sounded so great, the following year 1980 Bonham died and so did Zeppelin, it brought to an end 12 fantastic years of greatness, the guys were still young, Page 36, Jones 34 and Plant 32, who knows what would have come next, have a look at Celebration Day when the guys reformed in 2007 with Bonham's son on drums for a one off concert in London, 20 million applied for tickets online, 20 million!! but the guys could still nail it after all these years.

One of my favorite songs, definitely ranks near the top with No Quarter and Kashmir, just naming a couple, they have so many great songs, it's an extraordinary thing. You should really listen to the album Coda as well, there's some damn good music on it, although there are three songs I don't particularly like, Ozone Baby I don't like at all, Darlene is so so, and the drum solo, at a live concert I love a good drum solo, on a studio recording it's just blah, but I understand it was a tribute to Bonzo, so I accept it for what it is. There's also many live performances you should react to, especially from the '73 Madison Square Garden concert (actually recorded and mixed from 3 back to back concerts from what I've been told). Look forward to it.

This song has the tension of their best ... Criminally under listened to by some fans and in some cases the album dismissed....... But how many "Whole Lotta Love's" or "Stairway's" do we need....I just appreciate the variety and the way they just moved on and did something different with every album..You're gonna get plenty of suggestions for live stuff, so here's mine.....Celebration Day from 2007.. ( the sound here is epic!!! ) Bonhams son Jason on drums which was emotional....Kashmir and No quarter were interstellar...

Damn, I forgot how much I absolutely love this song. It's a tour-de-force, and it is so poignant to think that they had no idea it would be their last song together on their last album together and yet what a way to end a decade-long career as one of the most influential and iconic bands in all of rock history. It just blows my mind. I think we talked about this on the very first song on the album and for some reason I absolutely absolutely love that pretty wet slapback echo on his voice and the way they have it EQ'd; it just shows all the emotion and the growl in the grit in his voice and it sounds so good to me. But yeah man it's definitely seated down into the mix and not way up on top. Which was more common in the 70s but still, anyway. In retrospect this is one of my favorite albums by them, although I don't think I appreciated it nearly this much back in high school when it came out, but I did love it, don't get me wrong. It has some of their most ambitious and amazing content on it in my view. And they had matured enough to really be rolling with the times and just doing all kinds of fun stuff and still keeping it accessible to a lot of people. You mentioned several times about how the slow aspect of it really got to you and I would double down on that by saying, it's more than just a slower tempo - something can be slow and really dense, but this has a lot of space in it and so it really works to set the mood and the ambience, and his voice and then of course that incredible guitar solo, and if you listen, the bass guitar and drums are just doing all kinds of really important supporting stuff, but I would point this out as well: It is not only slow and spacious, but it's not in a straight 4/4, it's in a 6/8, meaning that it has that 123 223 123 223 back and forth feeling. And that gives it this kind of swaying and lilting feel at that sliw tempo, which just reinforces all of the other stuff that you were saying that you liked. I'm really impressed that you went on such an ambitious journey and you essentially covered a decade of this amazing band's career, and they are one of those groups, another one to me is Lynyrd Skynyrd, and also Ten Years After, who are not as famous but a British blues rock group that was also kind of psychedelic and spacy sometimes, one of those groups who were just so good and turned out so much quality material and made such an impact as they went that it's actually worth while to go through all their albums. I can't say that about a whole lot of groups. The Beatles would be another one. But yeah man I'm so glad you did it. And I didn't catch a whole lot of your livestream but it was fun while I was there, for sure!

For me - It depends I guess, almost on the weather - nice to hear Dancing Days in the Spring, sometimes you just got to crank out the Immigrants Song, and some days you just need the Lemon Song - same with live stuff - Live = I highly recommend: Led Zeppelin - Moby Dick (Live at The Royal Albert Hall 1970) [Official Video], it is on You Tube, it always blows my hair back, and almost brings a tear to my eyes at the same time.

Why do I like this song, because of the guitar solo and because it's bluesy, could also be on LZ I-V. With Carouselamba, these are my two favourites, unfortunately both apparently never played live in 1979/80. I like Fool In The Rain, All My Love (live ZH 1980) and Soundbound Piano because they bring a change, to catch your breath before the next musical opus. Thanks for the album reaction!!! Tip: the trucker road anthem RADAR LOVE 1973/US no.13 by Golden Earring from the album Moontan 1973 or Live 1977, possibly later TWILIGHT ZONE 1982/US no.10.

If you do not do Led Zeppelin's CODA album from 1982 in its entirety, then at least do the song from it called "Wearing and Tearing" - - it is a kick-ass banger (the band wanted to show that even though they were perceived as dinosaurs at that point, they could still rock with as much energy as all the new punk bands). You might also want to cover some of Robert Plant's post-Zeppelin solo material. His 1982 debut album PICTURES AT 11 is my favorite and stylistically his most Zeppelinesque record, but his 1988 album NOW & ZEN is probably his most popular and includes a cameo from Jimmy Page on the hit song "Heaven Knows." In the 1990's, Plant and Page formally reunited to put out two new albums together. The first, UNLEDDED, was a mostly acoustic live performance featuring new arrangements of many classic Led Zeppelin songs. (At that time, bands going on MTV to perform acoustic sets was all the rage - - Nirvana's UNPLUGGED album is the most famous example of this phenomenon.) The second was a proper studio album of new songs entitled WALKING BACK TO CLARKSDALE (this is a reference to the town in Mississippi where legendary blues man Robert Johnson is believed to have gone to a crossroads and made a deal with the devil). Jimmy Page also did one album with Whitesnake singer David Coverdale, and two albums as part of a 1980's supergroup called The Firm that included singer Paul Rogers from the band Bad Company. From The Firm, I would particularly recommend the song "Midnight Moonlight" - - it is a mini epic somewhat reminiscent of "Stairway To Heaven."

@@RobertWhite1 That is fine. I am all for letting everyone decide for themselves whether or not they like a particular song/album. But there are only so many hours in a day and days in a year, and realistically Silas is not ever going to sample every single Zeppelin-related song in existence. That is why, for example, I suggested only the 2 of Robert Plant's many solo albums that I felt would be of greatest interest to him.
