This happened to my mom. She was paralyzed waist down in the navy…. She had a 50% chance to live to fix her legs… she’s here now. She has also survived seven back surgery’s. She’s an amazing and strong woman. Also salute to any veterans out there (Edit) thanks for all the positive comments 😭

I feel so bad for the mother and son in this video! Being handicapped is far too challenging. I have an uncle who is in a wheelchair for the rest of his life due to a jackknife accident while trucking. I'll admit this video was a tearjerker.

Indeed his mother's fault for not focusing on the road completely yet that's not what causes the accident, its the truck who rammed onto them from the passanger's side due to the sleepiness. It surprises me that Theo didn't blame his mother at all even the slightest bit, often I see blaming out of frustration. It's refreshing to see such healthy bond of family.

Most of some people won't realize how hard being paralyzed might be, being stripped of your hobby and what you do must be tough and not being able to do what you love because of being paralyzed. Its like never playing a sport or a game ever again. You do got a point. She was constantly not looking at the road, and even if the truck was at fault, if was not on a device, her eyes could have been on the road, and if she could safely swerve to get away from the truck. If she could not swerve safely to get away from truck, at least she partly at fault would not be at fault due to not having been distracted. Myself, I will pull over safely if I had to take a call then and there. Otherwise, it waits. I know even speaker is not fool proof. I was thinking it while watching the vid, should not have messed with the phone.

Very true, but sometimes, one has to know when something is not to be. Very awesome he gotten to where no longer paralyzed, but if he stayed that way, allow new dreams to come. Like, I once wanted to be a musician, but I realized some short years ago, it was not to be. Writing may be a dream not meant for me to fulfill, but new dreams came to me that may very likely be meant to be.

My heart breaks into a million pieces when I see a karen humiliating kids with disabilities😭😭

I was once hospitalized ( Nov 2021 ) and couldn’t walk. Went on to take 1st at districts in March 2022, 2nd at regionals where I then qualified and made the national team and came in 2nd. This is all for gymnastics btw ❤ It’s possible ❤
