    So I actually came out as lesbian this Sunday. My sister was on my wish (an app for shopping and stuff) and she found a folder I called gay cause it was all rainbow. And she told my mom who was standing my "mom, when is rose coming out" and I was like "oh now is a great time I think. I'm really gay" and they both laughed and said aT THE SAME TOME "we knew already, you also have a girlfriend. We know." And then my sister texted my dad and everybody knows now lmao.

    I was outed around the age of 13. My mom had a friend who was bisexual, and I pulled her aside to ask her for advice on how to come out to my mother. I made her promise not to tell my mother that I'm bi, yet she went behind my back and told her anyway. For several years, my mom didn't believe it, and it was something we didn't talk about. Then I got in a relationship with a girl and my mom was super supportive. I may not be with that girl anymore, but my mom has continued to be my biggest support.

    When he was 17 my friend's son told me that he was gay, but he was really worried about what he dad would say. His dad had served in the Marines and was a very "tough guy" type of person. I told the kid he should just tell his dad because I knew his dad wouldn't care. He called me that night and said, "I told my dad. He just said, 'Hell I've known you were gay since you were 13.' *I* didn't even know I was gay when I was 13." What this kid didn't know was that 4 years before my friend mentioned he thought his son might be gay. We talked about it for some time and the conversation ended with my friend deciding that if his son was gay, he'd still be his son. Some men are just meant to be fathers. But I felt bad for the kid having gone though so much stress for nothing. I'm not gay myself, but I wish every coming out story went like this. I just don't understand how a parent can reject a child because of who they fall in love with. "Christian Values" are not good things in my opinion.

    I came out at 14, my dad didn't take it well, and still doesn't. Everyone in my family already knew though and were really supportive. I knew since 2nd grade when I had the biggest crush on my best friend Brooke, I didn't understand what it meant and just figured it was just a weird feeling, but when I got older I noticed that I liked girls and not guys. It took me a while to come out because I was terrified of not being accepted, or looked at like trash and a disgrace. I stressed myself out so much just thinking about coming out. My mom started to realize and went through my room to see if ahead could figure out what was bothering me and found my journal where I vent all of my feelings, and fears. She pulled me aside and said that no matter what she will love me unconditionally. I cried and cane out to everyone the next day. My friends we're also pretty supportive except a few but I don't need them. I now have a girlfriend of 3 years by best friend throughout middle school and high school. Practically inseparable.

    I just recently told my mom that I'm bi a few weeks ago. I told her while we were at Walmart, and I was getting stuff for a 'project'. She asked me what the project was and why I only needed paint and brushes and a poster board... That's when I told her it was for a promposal I was doing, and she was just like "Ok... Are you asking Tristin?" Which is one of my really good guy friends, and I said, "No. I'm asking.... Hailey...." She just said ok, and figured it was as friends. Then after she thought about it for a second she said, "Wait isn't Hailey your bisexual friend?" And after I responded yes, she asked if I was... And when I responded yes her face just kind of went blank. Then she looked petrified, and proceeded to tell me that she was having an anxiety attack and she couldn't believe she was having that conversation... Which was odd, because she's always been supportive of gay rights. She also told me that it was something that was going to stay between the two of us. Now she'll make snide comments every now and then about how bi isn't a thing, and it has to be one or the other... But, I also told my younger sister, and she was completely ok with it. All of my friends know though, and they are very supportive. As for the promposal, she said yes... :)

    Coming out as bisexual was easy. I told my best friend in seventh grade while we were swimming. Then it just spread through my friend group. Yes, I was scared what other people would think, but I knew my friends and most of my family were accepting. The only mistake I made was coming out to my mom over text. And, of course, she wanted to see me fight. I cried, I got angry. But it didn't matter. She loved me anyways. Coming out as transgender was harder. It was easy telling my girlfriend and my friends. I just had to tackle my parents. One night we were arguing over me cutting my hair short. I was always so annoyed with the fact they wouldn't let me do what I wanted with my hair or piercing my ears or face. Finally, in a ball of screaming a tears, I responded to "Its almost like you want to be a boy" with "Maybe I do want to be a boy!". Over the next few weeks it was hard, but I've gotten through it. Now, I'm getting my first binder soon and I couldn't be happier

My friend and I were talking about LGBTQ+ while walking down a traul cuz we were on a trip so many of the people who were also walking with us(one was my best friend from Pre K) were staring at us and whispering. Be proud of who you are or look like. If your skinny, fat, black, whute, orange, gay, pan, bi, American, Italian, Russian, Chinese. Anything, there is always a place for you to fit in.

Mom: ...sweetie, I know that's a Rainbow, but it's not LGBT...or is it? Anyway, you're not gay.. Me: *laughs in Pansexual* Mom: ...sweetie, do you have anything to tell me? Me: Yes. Mom, I'm Pansexual. Mom: I accept you! And that's pretty much of it ^^

    I love hearing coming out stories, more on the fact that I wish that I could've had my own. But ya know I didn't get that option thanks to my mom who read my dairy (that I had when I was 13) and decided to share it with my whole fam, even though I begged her not to. Hell she even cried because I wouldn't have a "correct" wedding and because she dreamed of me having a family with a man. She's even called me butch (in a condescending way) many times. I'm just glad my dad and my bros excepted me even though the rest of my family didn't.

The same thing happened to me, just a few weeks ago in the girls bathroom at my school. My friend came out as lesbian, and I came out as bi. There were lots of tears (happy ones, of course) and it was the best day of my life (besides the part when my crush walked by the bathroom and asked if I was okay...) I still haven't told my parents, or anyone else about my sexuality. My dad is super religious so I'm dreading the day that I come home with a girl.

    So this is my sexuality journey (idk what to call it 😂) so far 2nd grade- my mom helped me by making sure that I knew that sexuality dosnt define (or make smo gth) the person 3rd- didnt rly thk about it 4th- had a bff that slowly wasnt my bff anymore.... looking back I just realised I was showing signs of a crush on her 😶. Met my bff like bff till the sun blows out 5th- ok so the bff I met in 4th that is still my bff... yeah I strted to develop feeling for her... oh I also went through an emo phaze where I would act normal till I was alone (realated to my sexual cunfuzzlement) 6th- where I am now, I made evn more feelings for her, I came out to a friend I had met who I thought was my sbff (not my bff). I found out my bff was pan so I came out to her saying I was bi... welp theres my sexuality journy so far 😂 I am in 6th... so plz have mercy on mah grammer/spelling ;-;

    When i came out to my sis that i knew would support me bc we'we talked about this kind of stuff before and she was like "ok.. goodnight" and then i told that our mom was a little homophobic and idk what to do. Then she goes like "well i don't think that you would marry a woman". I felt really empty after that. Even my bsf didn't really supported me. And the only person who actually understood was my friend and were actually not even that close but now i fell like i want to spend all my time with her.

    I just came out just now and this was on my feed. Seeing how other people were just like me and just listening to their stories makes me feel a lot better. Everyone of you are so brave and beautiful. ((I'm still scared as shit tho, help--))

    I'm 17 and I still haven't completely come out yet. I told my friend and he was really understanding and he actually rooted for me because I told him that I was crushing on a cute girl and my mom and sister are both aware that I like girls, but they think I'm bi. I haven't told either of them yet that I'm gay and I'm actually a little nervous because even though my dad is very accepting, but my mom will take time. I'm not afraid of telling my sister because she's really chill, but my mom and I have a long history and I don't know how to tell her and how she'll take it. Wish me luck!

    i’m never coming out. my brain won’t send the words to my mouth to physically speak them so like everyone around me can figure it out if they haven’t already

    I've been with my girlfriend for 2 years now. We're both fixing to start our senior year of high school and we are open to everyone but my family. Her family had already known she was gay since she was in elementary school, but my parents have no clue about me. As an only child, they know her just as my best friend and have come to treat her like another daughter over the years. I so desperately want to tell them and so does she, but we fear for the worst and not being able to see each other outside of school. But we also don't know for how much longer we can be ourselves just behind closed doors without being found out. As much as we agreed to wait until we're out of high school, I don't know how much longer we can do this. I just want to be able to be myself and express my love for the person I've been with for a while now without the fear of disapproval.
