I was in the audience for that NYC show that Teddy Riley is talking about. That show was at the Hulu Theatre on 34 street in March this yr. The song Aaron Hall fucked up was "Miss You" and the crowd started booing, that shit broke my heart. He got mad , went in the back and came out , told us that he had a surgery the week before. Teddy came back out and literally saved the show. Showmanship, dancing, hits etc. he literally gave us a SHOW.

Yep! Indeed. When he said there were hardly no heavy hitters out there- who started their own genre- who could level up to him, the only one that instantly came to my mind was Prince. Because he had his own style, distinct culture that came with it, and virtually EVERYBODY in the pop music industry globally tried to copy it but couldn't. Prince owned that s**t. It would have been amazing if he and Ted did a project together.

In my time where I come from we didn’t make disrespectful momma jabs for no damn reason. Your whole damn generation is disrespectful, and most of you lack substance, direction, grit, and basic common sense, and you are proof of that; but since we’re on the subjects of mommas..... only a son of a never married, single mother/hood pass around would make such a comment. Which makes me wonder if your momma was a rump shaker back in the day.... The question is did he have your momma? Or did they all have her?

This may stirrup a conversation but I actually was in the recording studio sitting in his living room with him when he came in with the show for Dougie fresh, I was there when Dougie fresh showed up and picked up the record up. What people don’t understand is watching him sit there and reconstruct each and every instrument was one amazing experience. Let me put this out there I remember him working on the inspector gadget ref for a few hours until he was satisfied with the way it sound. I’ll even put this out there with Dougie fresh showed up to pick up the track it was awkward I felt like he wasn’t going to get recognition or credit because of the way that Dougie fresh left his apartment. I’ve watch this guy create so many hit songs and didn’t get the credit for it. But yet we never knew that he would become discreet sitting there in his living room day after day after day practicing and doing what he loved.

48:30-49:50 This is why Teddy was trying to give people a show during the battle, but yall's ungrateful asses dragged him for it. I know what he was trying to do. The battle with Babyface showed me two things: When you try to do more, people don't appreciate it and Teddy Riley is hella underrated. The battle really opened my eyes to how much he brought to music and how versatile his music range and catalog is, just listening to his songs back to back. I already knew how much Babyface brought to the game, but this showed me how underrated Teddy Riley is.
