It's deeper than that though. It has a lot to do with Cus too. Cus took Teddy under his wing way before he took Tyson. Teddy looked up to Cus no less than Tyson did, he was a father figure. If you know Teddy's story then you know his own father had very little time for him, thats why Teddy kinda ended up in the streets and later with Cus. Teddy was his nr 1 guy and loved Cus until Tyson came, and then when the incident happened Cus, to protect his dream fighter, told Teddy to go. That must have hurt him deep and he probably still feels it to this day.

@@CC-ff7ft Fighters weren't ligning up to get murdered back then....or now. There is a reason he was fighting who he was back then. Roy Jones obviously was rethinking more fights after gettin battered so badly. Mike's punches all leave with determination and Power. Fighters knew, back then, that they didn't want to catch anything he was throwing. The man uses an almost 100% structured system. His talent lies in the very small deviations. Fighters KNOW his style..., and structure, but are still so afraid of that 1% deviation. Most champs dance and angle, but Mike was different. He stands right in front of you, and makes you regret it if you stop moving. If champion level fighters didnt want to tarnish their records, then they turned down Mike fights......forever. It's boxing politics true, but respect both of those men regardless of age....or (Who they fought)......usually not a choice.., but for strategic advancement. Mike is a wrecking ball, and Roy was willing to dance in front of him. When Mike opens the 1st international fight league, and then dominates it himself at 55-56 against younger people....(who train w guys like Mike), THEN he will pass the torch...., Mike wants to not just go out on top. He wants to re-earn and die a boxer champ. He wants to be......the baddest man on earth.....and use this title for a humanitarian agenda. Mike is an Awesome human. Noone should judge a person's life character by looking through a keyhole at their life....or worse: profession. I watched almost every Mike fight live, and he was running to check on fighters, that he had downed, at 20yrs old, but he was able to open and close the door (to that concern) in a way that wouldn't restrict his violence in the ring. As he gets older,....he is having a harder time closing the door is all. The result is the Mike we have now. He never fooled or ridiculed other boxers.., he only promised domination......and; maybe that he would eat someones children......maybe their mother?? Smack talk; wasn't his strong suit.

This is the most important post you will ever read. Every one of us has sinned against God. We've lied, we've stolen, we've sinned sexually, and we've taken his name in vain; which makes us liars, thieves, fornicators and blasphemers.. Yet this is only four of our many transgressions. The problem is, we can never 'outweigh' our sin with good deeds because God is perfect in Holiness, meaning his standards is beyond our reach. He is also perfect in Justice, meaning, he will bring EVERY sin to light. The punishment for our sin is death, and Hell; a place of Eternal Fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Fortunately GOD is also perfect in Love, so 2000 years ago, Jesus Christ left his throne in heaven and came to earth. While here, he lived a perfectly righteous life, only to take the punishment that We deserved; Our sinless creator became Our sin, and endured a gruesome death on a cross for our sake. Right before he died, he said 'it is finished'.. meaning, the debt for our sins has been paid in full. And on the third day, he conquered death and rose from the grave. So now, we can go free from the wrath of God's judgment not by earning it, but rather, as a free gift of grace; Except a gift can either be accepted or rejected..So this is what you must do in response; Humbly admit to God that you have sinned against him, and through gratitude in the sacrifice of his son, repent (turn away) from your old way of life. Then, confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.

Come on Teddy, this isn't a good breakdown... Tyson vs Jones was brilliant. No mentioning of Tyson having an unhealthy lifestyle before this event and losing 100+ pounds, being inactive for 15 years and returning for charity. He jabbed superb and went for the body which took away Jones' legs and made him tired. And a nice head movement. Brilliant display of the peekaboo style. Jones switched stances and moved sideways like Ali and Joe Walcott. Give these two legends some respect and credit :-) And the commentary by Snoop wasn't funny for this one, you cannot laugh at these legends the same way you cannot laugh at an old Ali, Joe Louis, Foreman, Holmes, Harry Greb, Ray Robinson, Henry Armstrong, Archie Moore...

It was easier for Teddy to criticize Tyson in the past, because of his terrible behavior and the demons that tormented Mike. But when Atlas criticizes this new repentant Mike, he only comes off bitter and biased. They tried to make fun of the entire event, even though it was for charity. Mike said himself that he is only going to fight for charity from now on, and to use his gifts to entertain people with the goal of helping others. A person who can criticize that, has deep rooted resentment and unforgiveness in their hearts. Mike himself probably believes that Teddy has every right not to forgive him, no matter how much he apologizes for his actions. The difference between Mike and the vast majority of people who apologize for their sins, is that Mike is actually trying to atone for his wickedness the best way he knows how. Repentance is an action, and not a word. Mike can't force anyone to forgive him, but he is man enough to stay humble before the Heavenly Father, and to not let unforgiveness discourage him from the path of atonement. That's true strength; Not what he does in the ring.
