Besides the fact that the crowd behind the net would see it go through the netting and would've cheered right after the shot, penalty shots are NOT taken from 18 yards out... that's the top of the box. Some people might think "so what, that's such a little detail" but it's the fact that these writers got paid to make this show and their incompetence or laziness at being able to fill in some details definitely stretches to everything else.

@@JM-db8ez Season 1 was completely different to Season 2 and 3. To rate them the same is to be delusional. I don't care if something is popular. Keeping Up With the Kardashians has been on air for like 10 years. The Real Housewives of X location has multiple series with multiple seasons. Jersey Shore went on for like 5 seasons. Paris Hilton's show went on for a few seasons. Everything produced by CW is garbage yet they get enough viewers to keep producing it. Marvel movies still get good ratings and good box office revenue, despite the obvious decline in quality (or just maybe the repetitive jokes have become boring)... Popularity is not a sign of good. Get this through your head. It's like saying Taylor Swift and Beyonce are the greatest musicians of all time because they have the most grammys... absolutely delusional to make that argument. Furthermore: Season 1 of Ted Lasso on RT: 92% and 95%. Season 3: 81% and 77%. The only reason it's 81 and 77, and not lower, is people have a very hard time admitting that something they really liked before has gotten worse. Perhaps it's a bit of the sunken cost issue, where they've spent X amount of hours investing time into a show and so they want to see things through even if it's declining over time. They don't want to admit they're wasting time on something that has clearly diminished in value.

@@JM-db8ez What?? I'm saying you would never have the CB take a penalty in real life. Looks like you just sought out every one of my comments and disagreed for the sake of disagreeing. You don't watch any football / soccer, do you? The OG comment is talking about how likely it is for Isaac to take a penalty and relied on the stats in a FIFA game for a fictional person. I just noted not only did they not care about the stats, the penalty is simply a story device, but it's also incredibly rare to have a player of his position take penalty kicks. It's even rare in shootouts. So once again you demonstrate that you focus on defending the show and its writers, even when they're not really being challenged in any way. You are part of the insipid general population that, once you deem you like something, you defend it forever... no matter how much it changes.

@@theoaure3774 Sergio Ramos has taken penalties. I feel like David Luiz took a penalty once but I might be wrong, don’t quote me on that. VVD starts penalty shootouts for Netherlands. Hell, Rene Higuita was a GK and he took penalty kicks. Though he was just a beast all around.
When you realise the first scene of the penalty the keeper never dived and when they put the replay he actually dives 😂

18 yards? That is a hell of a pen... 1:13
If I'm not mistaken this is kind of a throw back to season one where they showed how powerful his kicks are. Anyone else recall?

Also the total football episode where be breaks that window after a corner
Did Arlo really say from “18” yards? That doesn’t sound right.

Yes, he said 18 instead of 12.

Surprised that Arlo White did see that as wrong right away. Everyone knows the spot is 12 yards from goal

@@striker3252 The writers wrote a script for him to read and record. He did his job. He either didn't care to correct them or they didn't bother to take his criticism. This is the fault of the writers at the end of the day. I get things like costume or editing issues in shows and movies because of costs, but this is literally the laziness of the writers in not just asking people as they were fleshing out the script.
i jumped out my seat lol
