Ive been trying to find out as much about the AIM9 recently for a project I am working on. You are the first person I have found that explains in detail the various power sources used, from Peltier modules, to the GAS reservoir being used to power a turbine for electric generation (previously claimed it was a pyrotechnical generator - which yes I guess it is, but more misleading than a gas generator driven generator!) As well as the progression to the thermal battery. (had not found that info out yet elsewhere) I find it interesting that peltier cooling modules were used to improve the accuracy of the sensor. I know they eventually moved to liquid nitrogen to super cool the sensor, in an argon atmosphere to improve the sensor performance. Thank you for the time and effort explaining all this, I appreciate that you drew this out as you were explaining each point,..

Glad you enjoyed the video!
as a german it is hard to stay in the english area of my brain because the accent really wants me to believe this is german :D
Good vid! Bonus points for Paint Masochism.
Thank you so much, you eliminated all my doubts, very detailed explanation! 😊
Ah yes perfect!
where is the pdf file for that missile ?
Much thanks for this video. It was very informative 🙏

Wait what? Min 12:00 makes no sense, where is the primary mirror?! Cassegrain telescopes have two mirrors, it clearly states that in the document but it continutes to say its a modified one and has one primary mirror. what the f does that even mean how does that work.

@@IronPhysik Ohhhh thanks man, this makes more sense!
Why not prepare all the drawings before recording the video? It is frustrating waiting for you to draw on a program that you are not skilled to use.

dude... no one is skilled in Paint! 😆.. and honestly, he did pretty damn well in Paint. Yes, your point is valid, it would have made for a smoother more pro video. but hardly worth criticizing him for with any weight.
