Chris is the songwriter for both. He's also the Keytarist for both. And he's the lead singer for Alestorm, the band that made Keelhauled.

I don't know what's stupider about this The fact keelhauled released 10 years before hootsforce The fact the same guy wrote both songs Or the fact the melody wasn't stolen from either since but was actually sampled from a dubliners song

Wow nice - as one who can really appriciate fast and hard dance music (as well als metal) and listening this version in some alestorm youtube list this song came very unexpected and was THE BOMB! Really nice mix. Next time you might want to try to harden the bass a little (towards gabber/hardstyle). Just beware the bass doens't crowd out the other music. Speed was ecellent. Great remix.

As someone who likes BOTH metal and techno... this is not bad, actually. Sure, the original song was better, but this is actually a decent remix... at least it all fits together. Now, when people just mindlessly put a techno beat under a metal song that angers me... because the result sucks. But this is actually a REMIX, and... it's pretty good!

@runawayscreamingWEEE I did, once upon a time, but I havent for quite a few years. When I really started listening to a lot of music my interest and creative focus shifted to visual art actually. But I guess its all the music I've listened to, which have honed my hearing, plus the fact that I'm a hopeless perfectionist, that helps me pick up on these kinda things :P

Not to keen on the higher pitched vocals, but its a damn good effort. Well done man, its definitely an interesting take on the song :)

I'm used to listen to metal music. Alestorm are metal. But look at the positive part, this song born by Chris's bore is better than every song made seriously by dance "musicians"
