@@Dosenpruegel Doesn't happen often, but when it does it's super fun because there's been no outside opinions or any hype to influence my opinion of it. I recorded it at like midnight my time last night, and have had it stuck in my heads since waking up just now. Haha

S tier animation, A tier song. Song lacks clarity, little bit more lyrics. It sings party time, but words are compressed together. It is harder to distinguish them and it doesn't have the omphf which you would suspect.

Am I the only one hears that at 00:11 there is a 90s song humming for just 2 seconds. This song and animation is amazing but that reference makes it awesome!

I used to drink beer literally every day, I'm happy to say I've cut down a lot but today I'm indulging in a few beers because well, it's my birthday. How did I celebrate? Well I made myself and my dear old mom a killer dinner with pepper beef, baked potatoes and homemade garlic butter. When I say homemade I mean it, churned from cream. I love cooking, baking and everything related to it so this was a hobby treat for me. Of course Alestorm graced my speakers throughout the process. Rock on mateys!

Procuring and removing treasures yearly

Alestorm is one of the bands that knows what their audience wants and they just give it to them, or not. Either way, they always deliver hahaha.

This was my first alestorm song I've ever listened to... Now they are my favourite band. Remember young lads: every where there isa quest to do!

I can't tell if it's CGI or like flash technique, very original

I love that the animator that did “Pirate’s Scorn” as a fan video got to do an official music video, that’s so fucking cool.

I knew it was them because the art style was familiar to me

I love the ending, where the captain lets the eyepatch snap into place, the tiny details and sounds that are there but dont interrupt the song is so beautifully done. Such parts are when said captain stomps his foot at 0:44, 0:57 where the bottle makes an actual sound. 2:02 where the landing makes a thud, 2:43, the sound of barrels rolling on wood. And the animation is so smooth and well made, and at 3:01, the captain gives a thumbs up back to the crew, as they steal the treasure. Another really nice detail is at 1:58 where the captain thrusts his waist forward as the cannon fires. Theres probably more tiny details, but the song is really well made, and so are the visuals.

I was at work today and got talking to a customer after telling him his shirt looked really cool. It had a skeleton riding a skateboard on it. He told me that alestorm was a band and I said I'd check them out. He then told me they make songs about pirates and I was thinking ? 🤔 ? Wasn't sure what to expect but I'm pleasantly surprised. Arts great too

There has to be a followup to the Fannybaws video now, as to how Yarrface wound up with the crystal coconut....

My favourite part of the whole animation is at 1:15 and the ensuing little dance. Its soooooo good, i just love it so much.
