Dave the way you got rid of the slow down was much better than the dedicated video the other day. Thats the way people where saying to do it and what they thought was the best method

@@davecamm you were 0.5 seconds down when you got the slowdown which was 1.1sec and when it disappeared you where 1.8 sec back so not too bad.

22:50 when you _finally_ hit that apex in turn 3 and grabbed a whole tenth 🤩 25:20 MY HEART LEAPT 😱 "Remain in my seat" he says; you couldn't pry me off the seat with the jaws of life what with the pucker factor 27:25 oh man your sequence exploiting Spithill's lockup in 1 was beautiful. He was clearly unsettled for the whole first sector while you were absolutely dialed in. OH NO THE SLOWDOWN!!! I dunno if you caught it at the end but Ranito said something like "It's really hard to drive with you breathing down my neck like that Dave". You had P4 for sure but alas.

This was definitely a fun race to watch.

Dave, the reason why so many people hit the tires on the inside of T1 is the seating position on the HPD is on the right, which many drivers aren't used so it's easy to misjudge how much space you have on the left. Don't ask me how I know.

Hey Dave another great video as always. Just a quick question regarding the replay in the top right corner of the screen. Are you recording the race from a different camera angle during the race or do you record the race from the different camera angle post race. I hope my question makes sense. Thanks.

I think the cars hitting the tires are from drivers sitting on the right side of the car when they are used to driving on the left side so they were mis-judging how much car is hangin out to the left.

Great race. Wish it had been longer and a pit stop included. You were driving your balls off.

for players with dodgy internet connections, they sometimes phase in and out of existence so it looks like they're "blinking." iRacing somehow reads this blinking as incidents

Hey Dave, cracking race as usual :) Quick question. At the beginning of the video you mentioned that your center monitor is attached to the streaming PC. Can you elaborate more on that? or do you have a website/video describing your setup? I am trying to find a way to record/stream my races without performance impact on my race pc or lag (for example the lag introduced by a capture card)

I have a capture card in my streaming pc and was passing through it to my centre monitor via hdmi. I use an Elgato 4k60Pro

There is no noticeable lag, but I find recording more reliable when using DP for my monitors and cloning my centre monitor to the capture card. I don't have to have the streaming pc on when doing a race I'm not recording then either 😁

@@SimDave yes, I run a hdmi from my rig GPU to the HDMI in on the capture card. I clone both my centre monitor and the hdmi (which is connected to the streaming pc capture card) in the Nvidia control panel on the gaming rig. When the hdmi is connected to the streaming pc from the gaming rig it sees it as a monitor. Hope that makes sense 😁

Yes it's just the angle. The wheel is about shoulder height 👍

What was the reason for switching from triples to single and back to triples in the space of a few months?

I've explained it a few times. Basically performance or lack of it on the triples.

@@sparkstack ah, youre a little way behind then. Basically, my pc was power throttling. Fixed that which improved things to a point where I could happily run triples again. Then I upgraded my CPU which improved things again 👍

Tagged the rear of a car which put me into a weird spin. Got damaged and limped around the rest of the race 🫤 I did qualify but got a slow down at the bus stop on my first flying lap which wasn't clear before the line. Meant my second lap was 'abnormal' so didn't count 🫤

Dave, is it just me or have you photoshopped your face into the helmet on your thumbnail?????
