I had to adapt a speech I did on the stage to delivering it over the screen, and compete in a hybrid contest last weekend. I felt I was at a disadvantage by competing virtually, but with your tips and the tech that you suggested, I won the Division Contest and will move on to District! Thank you so much - keep shining!

I will doing my first competition in a few weeks. I loved watching your speech. I didn't realize how much the animation can grab a viewer. I've been told I'm too animated and its distracting, but maybe its different with the evaluators preference. May I ask did you have notes displayed for you to see or did you memorize this speech? Its not so easy anymore for me to memorize things. Thank you.

Good luck with your contest and being your natural self! Definitely memorize your speech. The trick is a simple story with short sentences and 1 clear message. Have fun x

Thank you for the advice and recommendations. The ring lights I found online were $185 for the 20 inch model. Is that about what you paid? Any recommendations on brand?

Hi Hugo. I didn't buy a brand name and I know the prices do vary. That sounds pretty expensive though as the ones I bought in South Africa were the equivalent of $50 each. Hope that helps x
