I’m so proud of my sister for winning this title. The 6th woman to ever do so. And more important is her bringing the title back to South Africa and the African continent for the first time. 🌍 🇿🇦 I’ve watched her grow into this remarkable woman. So glad the world will get to share her life and wonderful messages now too.

I'm crying as I went through a similar trial. I also stayed in a room, behind my sister's home. Also rewriting my story currently... I'm grateful for sisters for helping 💛

Kay, how fabulous that she had you as her role model. You are to be congratulated as well! I have a quick question. Might there be any way you can find out and post for us here (or ask her to share here) what type of lighting, microphone, and camera/computer she was using? Tech issues were extremely challenging for me when I competed in the early round of this competition. Thank you!

@@estherchambers3692 Thanks for the message. She used a Wireless GoII Rode microphone and Logitech camera C920. It wasn't perfect in that they all have issues with autofocus which made it difficult for movement. Good luck with getting your tech sorted. And her lighting was two ring lights.

At my home club, we had a viewing party. At the end, we each ranked the winners. I have to admit, that I had Verity in 2nd place, and the second place winner in third place; however, Mario Lewis, who has been on the world stage before, ranked Verity first. After listening to the speech now, I can see why. Congratulations, Verity! Well deserved!
