I'm sure other's have pointed this out, but 154CM does not stand for the length of the blade. That would be roughly 5' in length. LOL. Instead, 154cm is a type of steel. CM stands for Crucible Materials Industries. They are an American company who developed this steel for industrial purposes but it has become a very acceptable lower-cost steel for use in knives. Always something new to learn! :)

154cm would be a long sword or a zweihander :)

@@habamax You are correct. I was thinking in mm.
My favorite headlamp is the Petzl Bindi Headlamp. Very light weight at 0.04kg. It reaches 200 lumens on full and only requires a micro SD charging cable. It is programmable with S.O.S. and a red light. At the time I got it earlier this year it was $45. Love it and comes with me on all my hikes and camping trips.

it's massive! JK I misunderstood one of the terms. It's a 154 CM knife, but that refers to the type of steel used, not its length. Whoops! That's what I mean when I say I'm not a knife guy. D'oh.

I have the Garmin Fenix 6X Sapphire, and am i glad i got the Sapphire glass as I have hit the face hundreds of times and not a scratch.
I’ve been using eneloop batteries for close to a decade. I do like the charging arrangement on the Pale Blue batteries - that looks like something I might actually use in the backcountry. I don’t use the eneloops hiking because the charger is 110v.
Hey Eric, I like the rechargeable 4 pack. I have an item that weighs less than an ounce that can save your life. It's a small air horn for $6 in the boating department at Walmart. Been carrying one for years backpacking for bears and big cats. One short blast and they're off. Less money and weight than bear spray. I zip tie a keyring around the horn part and clip it to the outside of my pack. They're made by Sea Sense and been around for years.👍
@BackpackingTV

Nice! That's a pretty clever idea. Have you had interactions with bears and big cats where it worked?

Yes! I've been using a boat horn for decades. I carry bear spray but have never used it. But the boat horn sent a couple of brown bears scurrying for the hills! I never hike without it. Glad to hear of others who use it, too.
Yes, the ZOLEO has saved my bacon twice. I’m very happy with it. Because we can train, and prepare, and things can still go south.
