This is one of the most beautiful songs I have EVER heard. Absolutely incredible that TFF are still making music of this quality all these years later.

@@8infinite8possiblities8 I'm glad to read that. Same here. I'm disappointed that this song has such low streams on Spotify, and low downloads on iTunes compared to other songs on the album. I don't understand. This is probably one of my favourite songs on the album.

This entire album is another validation of why Roland & Curt are amazing!

The diversity on this album proves that Tears for Fears are their own genre. A round of applause!

Voice of an angel Mr. Smith. I’m blown away as usual by Roland and yourself. Wish Tears for Fears could sing forever. I’ll be really sad when you stop making these beautiful songs!!

Mixtures of sound coupled with Curt and Roland's timeless voices makes for a truly authentic drop of music. Amazing 🔥💯

It immerse me in that crystal clear atmosphere created by the voice of Curt. Magical, relaxing, a round trip to the land of imagination and fantasy such as in swords and knives

How great it is to hear the incredible talent of Tears For Fears again. So much time passed of not hearing their creativity.

Beautiful song! The best band!

So much of the 80s in this amazing album. Top notch job gentleman.

Saw them in concert last month & they were absolutely brilliant. Did almost this whole album and of course they did their most popular songs. Probably the best band I’ve ever seen live. After all these years they still sound amazing.

I can hear this in a TV show or film. It's beautiful. The album is a stunner

If their next album is as fantastic as “The Tipping Point” I will gladly wait another 17 years. This particular song is haunting, painful, desperate and yet hopeful…simply gorgeous and gets me every time.

The fact a band makes this kind of song after being in the industry so long is testament to how TFF are in a totally different league from many other artsts. They absolutely smashed it with this haunting, oddly uplifting melancholic track. Curts vocals are stunning!

Artists should just be free to make good music and not worry about genre. Period I love the diversity of Tears for Fears songs.

I saw them last night in Alpharetta Georgia and they blew everybody away with their new music. It was the best show I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen some of the best groups.

When your ears are acustomed to high quality, excellent, superb, well crafted music... well, they still exist but the sad truth is.. unlike in the old days, ONLY TEARS FOR FEARS CAN GIVE YOU THAT nowadays.

I get the same vibes from this song as Lucy Dacus’ “Please Stay” although the subject matter in that song is more serious (self-unaliving). Both songs made me cry out loud too. Saw TFF in Kansas City 7/14/23 and they were brilliant. I hope they can continue making albums and touring but if not, they left us with an amazing album.

I'd love for you to elaborate a bit. I just heard this "new" version, which is beautifully ethereal. Then I went to play the 2017 version and, based on your comment here, I was expecting to hear a much different version. But it was elaborately performed and produced and if I'd never heard this Tipping Point version I'd consider 2017 version to be a fully finished and excellently executed song. So I am curious. What made you found it lacking in 2017? thanks

@@quicksite the song is the same, but to my ears the mix was missing something. They tweaked the balance on some of the instrumentation just enough so that it sounds more rounded out, bringing out certain parts a bit more, making the the vocals clearer. It’s just a slight remixing is all, but makes a difference to me.

I still prefer the earlier version .. it seems to sound more atmospheric as the instrumentations seems to blend more seemlessly together , more swirlingly flowing .. I think the new one is probably exactly the same instrumentations except they probably clean up the individual sounds to make each one stand out more distinctively ... but sometimes when you do that, the result becomes harsher sounding like more of a cacophany of competing sounds rather than more harmonious ...

This has hints of “Believe” and “Listen” from Songs From the Big Chair, the somehow uplifting sadness from the vocals in “Woman in Chains” from Seeds of Love, along with a bit of guitar from Kings of Spain and a few electronic riffs that could have come from Elemental, or even Tomcats. Yet remains a great song in its own right apart from all those that came before it. Just sayin’.

It’s actually an early song written during the strife between these two when all the success first hit. They revived it and put it out on the compilation in 2017. They’ve now played with a little bit a little reengineering, a couple possibly added bits and pieces and here you have it all dressed up for the new album & the tour. They are actually running it over the sound system on tour as a prelude to their taking the stage. It works beautifully in that context. They don’t have to play it, there it is and it appropriately sends the shiver down your spine as you know they’re about to hit the stage. For anyone attending the shows ….they have been brilliant. The new songs come across beautifully something that’s incredibly rare in a concert. The audience respectfully responds enthusiastically. Literally the best I’ve ever seen this band and I’ve seen them throughout the ages… Yeah we’re growing up with these two fascinating blocks. 🌻. What a gorgeous song with a gorgeous vocal

I was kind of disappointed when the first single of the album came out after totally love the perfection of Everybody Loves a Happy Ending but then I listen to this song with all that deep ambience and beautiful voices floating around the speakers, I suddenly feel conected with the band again to the point I listened the whole record and fell in love with it. Now I can hardly wait for the CD to arrive home...Thank you guys, you did it again!
