To make vortexes, it is a challenge but for me I feel that using the flea comb makes it easier. It does take some practice though. It may not be something that you like to try, and I totally understand it. There's a lot of other quilling techniques that you can try out. I personally have so many other quilling techniques that I haven't tried yet. I hope this year I can explore them. All my best wishes to you with your future projects! :)

  • @azlinaabdul

    @azlinaabdul

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi Mary, I think what you can do is, when pinching the combed paper, don't pinch at the end of the rounded area. Just pinch from the pointy end upwards but leave the rounded area alone, meaning don't pinch all the way up to the end, cause that will make both ends sharp.

    It is possible but rather more challenging compared to using the 5mm strips.

    Yes, it's ok to use 3mm strips but it's a lot easier to make it if you use 5mm strips.

    By using the dowel rod with the paper, you are breaking down the fibers.

    Easy isnt it! Hahaha...absolutely not! I've followed along 3 times and cant get same result...I'm guessing u have to use exact flea comb and not quilling comb to get these results?

  • @azlinaabdul

    @azlinaabdul

    3 жыл бұрын

    Yes, it is important to use the flea comb to get that result. Using a normal comb will not get the same effect as the pins have wider gaps in between compared to the flea comb. Keep practicing, never give up ok! :)
