Teamsport Crawley new lap record! 45.988 Set by me! 16th August 2021
This is the new lap record set by me at Teamsport Crawley, the karts had new tires fitted a week or so ago so they were a lot more grippy through the corners. I still think I could go faster if I had room to myself but I am still very happy with that lap! This is also the first sub 46 second lap at the track so I am very happy with that as well. Just want to say a big thanks to the team at Crawley for giving me so much support and tips that have improved my driving massively. Full video of the day coming out soon!!.....
Edit: about 1 month later I have gone back to teamsport once again and i managed to get a 45.493, a new lap record :) no camera on my head though :( but it probably made me faster because less weight (gees I'm such a tryhard lol)

The karts sound smooth with good pickup unlike the ones I used to race there 10 years ago. Back then a 47 second lap was very fast.

Cool, I never saw the older karts but they looked pretty quick, I think the main reason the laps are quicker is due to the very grippy tyres on the karts, before they put the grippy tyres on the lap record was a 47 something

@@BenjaminHamiltonRacing ah, makes sense. Grippy tyres would make a big difference. It would take ages to get heat into the tyres we used to race on. I’ll have to try out the new karts sometime!
just went to this place today for my b-day party this course is SO fun and it rlly is super amazng due to having 3 floors to it and not just 1 deffo reccomend going to this one

they changed sector 3 to a straight and a turn instead of a hairpin into a long turn coming into that final ramp before the finish line, so you can go easily 2 seconds faster. I also saw you on the leaderboard at Q leisure too, do you hold the record there as well?

I’ve uploaded a video on the new track layout, just go on my channel and it should be at the top of my uploads. I did have the lap record in the 200cc karts but they got different chassis and so my 20kg lighter brother beat me 😭

@@BenjaminHamiltonRacing oh yes of course, I was wondering how there were 2 of you. On Q leisure being lighter is super helpful I’m 6’0 ft 80kg and I was struggling on the 2 turns coming off of the pit exit. There are a lot of breaking points you have to hit properly or otherwise ur time gets destroyed. I did a 44.5s for my first time in the adult carts 270cc and it was great

@@Nathan_Langdon yea I got in the Bikc 1st place qualifyed in the juniors, and the lap, well it was a very hot track= lots of grip and I am a light guy so the acceleration is a lot better up the ramps

My best is a 45.2 but my best on camera is a 45.6 and it should be near the top of my channel if you want to see it because this lap was very messy
