Team USA Olympic Libero Reacts to Nishinoya Haikyu! Season 1

Спорт

This is me reacting to some clips of Nishinoya from Season 1 of the anime Haikyuu. I chose to watch Nishoniya clips because I have already finished season one and wanted to react to his libero highlights! This anime is so realistic it's crazy! I hope you enjoy!

I don't know if anyone else has mentioned this, but when the author first started writing Haikyuu enrollment in HS Men's Volleyball in Japan was at an all time low. The author wanted to inspire people to play volleyball, and it worked.

We actually don’t know the author’s gender. Here overseas the fandom mostly think the author is a male but in Japan the fandom there think that the author is a female. ( they never revealed it I think )So we don’t know if it was in the woman’s team or the men’s ( no hate just putting that out there ) ( and that’s what I’ve been inform with I could be wrong)

The middle touches the ball the least, gets libbed out half the time, and has to approach/jump for his attack every single time, even if he might only get set 1 out of 9 times. Though on a young team, the right side might actually be the least used player(unlike in higher levels).

It's not only that the middle has to approach every time like he will get the set, but the middle has to close out to the pins on every block, while trying to read if the opposing middle is going to be set. Just having to run back and forth and jumping full bore is extremely taxing on your legs, especially if you're an undersized middle.

For one, the art style of the manga is similar to other female artists and prominently features the female gaze. Also, female characters are never sexualized, which is extremely common by male mangaka. There is a video that shows Haruichi’s hand and it’s honestly impossible to tell if it’s a woman’s hand or just a somewhat feminine male’s hand. Like he’s a high school player, so it would be unrealistic for him to be completely perfect. I even stepped into a local recreational game and did so much better than I thought I would do. I am an athlete through and through, and mental training actually worked REALLY well for me when i played for the first time. It felt like I actually had experience(basics). When people ask me what I think the best anime adaptation of a shounen manga is, I always answer Haikyuu. It's not just the music or the eye-candy animation or voice acting like it is with other anime. With Haikyu, you can tell that the people who worked on it just love volleyball and have done so much research to bring the volleyball from the manga to life in such a realistic way. Every single shot is filled with such fluid posture and technique from each character. I've seen anime before with great animation that they only put into creating flashy explosions and with zero substance for how it's being used. That's why it's nice to see an anime like Haikyu that is a lot more subtle yet just as if not more impressive with its animation.

I think it’s more about how characters have time to say whole dialogues in the middle of rallies while the ball is slowly falling/moving. Obviously volleyball in real life goes much faster. • @ICavalcadeI

@@Exoquell To be fair, many people do go through the same or similar thought processes in their heads during games. They just don't have an eternal monologue, so the thoughts happen abstractly and sometimes in fractions of seconds. That's not very useful when developing a narrative, so the author gives a voice to these thoughts. For example, when Nishinoya saves the ball with his foot, he was definitely conscious of the fact that he couldn't save it with his hands in those milliseconds the ball was still in the air. In real life, he might not have actually said it in his mind, but the sentiment is still the same.

This was great! Very insightful for a professional to review the anime. Now I really know what's amazing about Nishinoya's receives and I'm impressed the animators went to such lengths to portray the details.

ooo actually yes!! the creator of haikyuu is Haruichi Furudate; he/she/other (not publicly known) did play volleyball in junior high and was a middle blocker. They are very keen with volleyball which can explain the crazy realistic details of the sport in Haikyuu! lol i love volleyball and then i found haikyuu a year ago, and i love it 😂

For a person that hated volleyball, because in school it was a frustration to learn, because teachers never thaught very well, so I tried and tried to do a good job and failed poorly. Then, haikyuu comes into my life to change my lack of will and hatred on volley and gave me inspiration to be better and I gave another chance to the sport. Still not that good, but I'm way better than before and volley became one of my favoritas sports along with skating and swimming(if it wasn't because of school, I would be on the competition level, but I have priorities, and they're my studies).
