Spoilers for the Indigo Disk post-game. I did the Team Star quest immediately after I did the encounter with the Professor from the past at the Crystal Pool and got booted to the title screen, when that happened and I saw Eri and Giacomo in normal uniforms, I was legitimately afraid that I had majorly messed with time.

Eri was utterly unrecognizable, but I think she still looks amazing in a rule-abiding outfit. Atticus and Mela also stood out a lot for being so completely different. So yeah, can't really decide on which one of these I like best now.

Eri was picked on for being popular, still she's tall and pretty intimidating even without the team star getup. Cowardly bullies had to have ganged up. Same for Mela also because she was cute too.

Atticus definitely rocks the uniform the best, he’s a handsome businessman now, and even goes to Porto Marinada afterwards to sell some clothing items he’s made (this boy has taken over 2 million poke dollars out of my bank account help; at least he taught me hands down the best emote in the game after I bought everything). Also I love the contrast with Mela (she’s absolutely adorable, and her funny walk from her boots has become muscle memory), quite literally the “If you don’t love me at my:, you don’t deserve me at my:” meme.

When I first did this quest I spent like 10 minutes looking around for Eri and Giacomo in the entrance area before finally noticing something a little different about two NPCs lol. I probably walked right by them like 3 times. Eri in particular is unrecognizable.

same although, admittedly, the LOD in the main hall is horrible with NPCs popping in and out of existence within a few meters of the main character. But yeah, I was looking for a white-haired giantess only to realize the black-haired Giant cutie was her. Doesn't help we hadn't seen her face before with all that thick makeup. I felt stupid for not looking for Giacomo instead, his unique hairstyle is still plenty noticeable....

Same I got really frustrated, I thought the game messed up, I was looking for them and their teamstar uniforms, when I finally realized where they were standing it made sense that they would have obviously gave up that look 😅

I feel like the dialogue options have gotten a lot weirder in general. I think there was an option to hit on Lacey during the Indigo Disk storyline by calling her cute, after which she completely brushes it off.

After Mela referred to Hassel as Mr Dragonbrows, I thought to myself, "Actually, that's a good nickname. I'm gonna call him that from now on."

It was so surreal seeing them with regular clothes, but I like these modified uniforms much more than the regular ones Giacomo would look so much better with pants instead of shorts imo, but I guess they intended to give him a nerdy? look. I was shocked to see how petite Mela actually is, almost unrecognizable indeed

Not just petit but YOUNG. I thought Mela was in her late teens but she looks like she's maybe 14.

Seems a lot of people forgot why Eri ended up in Team Star, she was popular for being a good trainer, athletic and pretty. It didn't prevent her from being bullied though.

Mela's normal look gives me similar vibes to Penny herself.

Eri's always been my favorite of Team Star, and seeing her in 'normal' attire is excellent.

Eri looks adorable honestly. Also I just realized how Giacomo moves kinda like Tenya Iida.

Eri is honestly so pretty without the wrestler makeup, and Atticus is also looking good with that hairstyle and suit.

I love how you can tell mela is not used to being able to walk without those boots restricting movement

Can we just appreciate how freaking fabulous Atticus looks? I thought the new winter outfit was stupid as heck, but he’s slaying it.

I still find it astonishing how mela turns from prickly looking to something you just wanna give a hug with a bit less make-up and one less pair of boots

I swear to god I ran past them like 3 times thinking “huh those npc’s look so different, maybe the updated the character model or something” before running to them like an idiot

I love how they went from "grrrr we got bullied so now we gon' wreak havoc!" to Quintessential Quintuplets moment

I donno why but I find a lot of joy seeing Giacomo in his good-boy clothes. The long sleeve polo, printed shorts, high socks and loafers give off endearing dork vibes. Now I wanna see them in the Violet uniforms.

I can see why eris friend was jealous of her she beautiful but I think Mel look pretty cute too wouldn't believe it overall I like how they decided to go back to school in their uniforms it's really wholesome

Well when you battle Carmen at Eri’s base, she mentions that they bullied Eri for being really pretty, so it’s nice to see that be confirmed.

With the exception of Giacomo and Ortega (There's also Penny, but she stuck to what works for her) the other members of Team Star look super different from their Star uniform. Granted traits like Eri's height, Atticus' manner of speech and Mela's brightly colored hair give good hints who they might be if it was not already obvious

I honestly like traditional Eri. Honestly both of her appearances I like.

I’m super surprised with Eric’s and Mel’s new appearances! Mel is so petite- nothing wrong with that cuz so am I- she had to take off the high tops lol and she looked way older with that dark makeup! As for Eri- could have guessed from the height but other than that I get the “WHO THE HECK ARE YOU?!” vibes from her. Everyone else is recognizable obviously. I’m glad Team Star is back in school and pursuing other dreams now instead of causing trouble around Paldea. But seriously Pokémon: give us an actual menace to society type evil team!

Even though I have played Pokemon for a long time I don’t know much about the evil teams and stuff because I’m mainly interested in casually playing games- catching and being interested in the story and I don’t do a lot battling either 😅

At first I was really disappointed in Eri's actual appearance but after mulling it over she's actually really adorable now.

How they managed to make Mela look 20 in her normal clothing and 10 in school uniform is ridiculous.

I was legit running all around the lobby looking for them. Looking for that black jacket and painted face. Needless to say, my trainer burned alot of extra calories that day.

I kind of miss they’re team star fits. Like they were so iconic at least they still have them in their fights but I thought the hair stuff would stay at least like mela’s hair

I was struggling to find Eri cause she looks so different without her makeup and outfit💀. Mela looks so weird normalized.

Meli's new look is the best, but Atticus always looks good. Meli just had the best change, but she still looks good both in uniform and out

I like DJ Vice and Mela the most. Gotta say, she looks a lot better without those boots. As cool as they may seem to be, they're wholly impractical and had her walking like a 4-year-old which made me giggle far too hard.

So THAT'S why I couldn't find them anywhere. They are completely unrecognizable without their costumes.

I saw that I had to find giacomo and eri in the entrance hall and I spent a good 5-10 mins looking for them and if it wasn’t for giacomo’s hair I would’ve never figured out without looking online

I'm like "wait...THAT'S ERI? WHAT???" Fr tho i didn't recognize her at all untill the she said it.

They were right. Before Team Star, Mela is a cutie🔥 AND Eri is REALLY REALLY pretty🥊 😳🥰

After completing this quest, Atticus starts selling notable clothing from past games at Porto Marinada by the way. Also, I'm an idiot and didn't know how to help Ortega, and he called me out for not being able to help him at all.

I hope to see all of them battle in their "normal" outfits. Especially Mela and Eri. They look more awesome without the makeup and face paint.

I love the character focused stuff in these recent Pokemon games and hope it becomes the new normal.

I recognized Giacomo right away, but Eri was a surprise.

I love that Ortega, despite looking like a middle schooler, is specifically said to be a year ahead of us, and we're implied to be 14.

I miss seing them in their outfits. Idk why it just made me feel a little sad, seeing them surrender their individuality to fit in again. I know they say in-game that they wear the outfits outside of class but idk.. their makeup and hair is so much of a big part of them.

Like Atticus, I struggle w maths not just cuz I don't see a reason for it & have trouble focusing, but also due to having the problem of grasping concepts of it.

Nice touch that they're in the DLC uniform designs.

my favourite parts of this segment were eri’s transfem swag and Mouse Divorce

I am genuinely disappointed Eri's hair isn't silver naturally. bummer man, she was super pretty with it, it is kinda funny how she was bullied for being "too pretty" when she honestly looks the most normal out of all of them

I wish we got the team star boss outfits and pennys outfit and also the school star outfits like the suit atticus has or giacomo cashmere sweater

Went back after finding the Professor Sada/Turo easter egg where you go back to the Crystal Lake in Kitakami with Terapagos and getting my version of the book I wanted to see if Arven would say anything about it and I noticed that Giacomo and Eri wanted to talk and I ran right passed them twice while trying to find till I noticed Giacomo’s iconic hair but my god do Eri and Mela look different

I already like Eri when the game launched, her design was far better than the rest of the Team Star gang. But now in this post-game side quest, she's even better. I like me a lady of the Mediterranean, she could pass as being Greek.

When I saw that those 2 had a quest via trying to go elsewhere in school, took me absolutely forever since I did not recognize them in the slightest.

Rember that episode of SpongeBob when he keep saying "Hi how are ya?". Thats how i feel now...

Honestly it took way too long for me to start the quest itself. I circled the entrance like 4 times, waited for the day, and almost gave up cause I was looking for their star designs lol. Glad I did finally find it though

I have Violet and gosh the new outfits look so much better in Scarlet

I always liked Team Rocket in the games but Team Star has to be my most favorite team ever.

I wish they kept Eri's light gray hair and just had it look more formal, but oh well. I guess it was supposed to be fake in the first place.
