UH Voice is an on-campus singing competition organized by the Student Program Board, in collaboration with the Student Video Network, Coog Radio, and The Daily Cougar, for students attending the University of Houston. Inspired by the hit television show, this two-semester event utilizes multiple rounds, including a pre-screening process, Blind Audition, KZread elimination round, Knockout Round, and Finale Round. After selecting four coaches of varying musical background and genres, the Blind Auditions determine which coach the contestant will team up with. With a limit of four contestants per team, the KZread Round aims to elect the top 3 under each coach to advance to the Live Shows, which is scheduled to occur next semester, in February.
