    I came to the understanding that no one saves you during one of the worst times of my life. Whenever I would share that quote ppl would look right past the profound in that. It wasn’t until this book by David Goggins that it’s all coming together for me. David uses his life as the Guinea pig for all of us… okay no one saves you so here is what it looks like and means to save yourself. So inspiring.

  • @joshchapman4753

    @joshchapman4753

    Жыл бұрын

    Well said. You don’t realise no one is coming to save you until you are in a situation that there is no way out of but to endure it and surmount it. David’s lessons are so powerful because his life is a testament to being in that place most of us will find ourselves in at some stage and then surmounting it. If we don’t know how to push ourselves and increase our capacity for suffering- and to find purpose in that suffering, we won’t make it out with our souls intact- that is our self-respect our dignity our potential fulfilled. When life gets real and you suffer it makes sense to learn how to suffer first and spend time there so you know how to endure it and rise above.
