I still remember when the news first broke, me and an entire lobby on doublecross were on the bridge all doing the 21 gun salute taunt with soilders shotgun The only other time I remember seeing a community come together to honor the loss of a voice actor was the destiny community all honoring the loss of Lance Reddick, everyone sounding Zavala (the character he voiced) using emotes to show how it effected all of us Both people were legends and will be sorely missed but never forgotten

This gives me goosebumps. Rocket Jump Waltz is forever connected to the death of Rick May for me, every time I hear it in the menu of TF2, I remember Rick May. Rest in Peace Rick, you will never be forgotten.

I've been in this community for a while now and hearing this is always makes me cry for knowing that this actor Rick May created the character which is The Soldier has now passed is heartbreaking but we have to move on but always remember what he did for our childhood and I'm glad. I'll always come back here to hear this and remember what he did for me

I am one day late, but have to say - Rick May is a very talented person... He was the best soldier the country would have, and he doesnt deserve to be remembered and respected ONLY in the date when he died. He has to be remembered and respected always. Thank you, Rick. Thank you for TF2 especially.
