    Wow, symbolism everywhere. Not only with the comment about the upper and lower tiers connecting, but also with the abundance stone and the alarm going off. The guy said he was waiting, but the alarm said the time is NOW -- wake up. And Teal woke us all up with that one!

    There is only symbolism. We are only our stories, memories, beliefs and emotions. Otherwise, the universe created us to experience itself in an infinite sea of conscious energy at the Planck Scale... The man onstage does not detest money, he detests what it symbolizes and how he think he will be viewed if he has too much of it, the same way he views people with lots of money. Money has no value whatsoever. It's what it can bring you that matters. Everything humans do is survival-based. His beliefs regarding money are intertwined with every aspect of his thinking.

    I love how her opening comments about the upper level audience needing to connect with the lower audience exactly foreshadowed the whole concept of the answer to the upcoming question (separation and being treated fairly). That was some next level meta-fractal stuff.

    Wow, I get it now. I had to play it again... but it's like this: Does anyone remember The Lion King II? I know people don't often like the follow up movies, but the whole point of that one was showing that those who live in the pride lands and the shadow lands were the same! No matter how abundant or not one or the other was, or how different they seemed to each other, they learned that they are all one tribe. It was the division and separation that caused each to hate each other and the lack of resources. Not the lack of resources itself!

Because I was born to family where there always have been not enough money and I have always thought that I was different than rich people. And maybe I was thinking to myself - I could be in their place, I can have this but Ive never felt it as for now. We are the same people. There is nothing wrong with them and there is nothing wrong with me, it's just money and lack of connection between us. 🤯

    Ultimately there is balance. That is natural, the way It simply IS. All things, all people, no exceptions. I have had jobs and done work that I did not particularly enjoy, and felt like I was not making enough money. But I am realizing that I am a part of the Whole. My labor has value for other people. And maybe I can see people and society in a better way. I can choose where or where not to spend my money. Yes, I know we still pay taxes. In all the work I have done I am interacting with other people, and maybe connecting with them in ways that I had not realized before. We all do what we do to keep it going. Our world and our governments and economic systems might not be perfect, but we KEEP GOING. We interact. We connect. We learn. We DO. We evolve. Limits and fears are part of the big picture. I guess some of us need limits or fears to help keep us from becoming totally lazy and not doing anything that has value for other people or society. I sometimes have thought about heaven on Earth and peace and equality and everything being perfect for everyone. But don't let that be a fairy tale that ultimately leads to poverty, ignorance and death. In order to live we must BE and DO. And in that we realize that there is a connection. Ultimately there is balance.

    I would love to know how he's doing these days. I coud relate to him a lot, just that I don't despise people who manifeste lots of Abundance in general and I don't focus nor try to fight against anything. My personal issue with self Abundance (or lack of it) is like he mentioned for himself: I don't want to be doing any hard work that I dislike, in order to get it (so, I'm still struggling with that). I also often lack the will for inspired self action...

    Teal asked the guy where the money is coming from when he earlier talked about an unconditional income for everybody as a basic living. Money is just paper that gets printed - this is where money is coming from. The same with the values that were distributed to all the things we have certain "prizes" now for - who did decide what costs what? This system really sucks - not money but this system.

    So, look for similar characteristic that you both have(you and someone more wealthy than you), then work from there :)

  • @grrrl420
    @grrrl4204 жыл бұрын

    First, if a poor person sees themselves no different as a rich person then that still doesn't make the rich person less corrupt or less benefiting from the corrupt system that allows people to be poor while they are super rich. If a super rich person sees themselves as a poor person, they wouldn't be hoarding as much wealth as they are. But I doubt the rich person would do that more so than the poor person. That creates a split. One person is unsafe in the relationship while the other gets all the privilege of being wealthy. Second, calling out corruption of a rich person isn't like saying a poor person is just lazy, many rich people are ACTUALLY corrupt and actively create less opportunities for the poor person. No amount of loving the rich person and seeing them as yourself is going to change that, as it's ultimately up to the rich person to decide if they want to stop being corrupt, and it's up to the people to fight for justice, outnumber them, and hold them accountable. Lastly, if you actually didn't separate yourself from a poor person, you'd realize the corruption of rich people and would fight to end that yourself or at least realize that there should be a fight to do so. Not everyone can follow such spiritual teachings or want to. Not everyone should. It doesn't mean people have to suffer poverty if they don't. People shouldn't have to love the rich person or not separate themselves from them to be abundant. Why put the burden on people to cope within the system instead of just changing the system itself? Positive intentions alone are not enough. Here Teal puts too much attention on personal responsibility for one's own shortcomings and tells people to change their inner world, while ignoring what the outer world has caused. People are born into wealth and people are born into poverty, although people can change their circumstances (some more difficult than others) changing the system changes the outer world that humans are born into. Why let the people get hurt just so they can heal? Changing the inner world changes the outer world, but don't forget that changing the outer world ALSO changes the inner world. Take responsibility for both. I believe justice happens when you accurately understand the roles the outer and inner world are playing and what they are creating.

Not for us to treat people nicely who do have power - altho we should treat everyone nicely, but a victim can't be equally blamed as an abuser in a situation with unequal power.

  • @TheGrasspond

    @TheGrasspond

    3 жыл бұрын

    @@rain_maiden Ok, so I did go back and look at the video. My opinion of him is slightly more negative. A person with grandiose ideas that doesn't want to get off his ass and start helping people and uses money as an excuse. Start helping the person in need next to you for one day and go from there. Teal pointed out the elite not he. He dosn't care if money comes from the factory worker or millionaire but he isn't doing anything until other people start giving him some of their productivity. The resource based economy does not and will not work because there is no reasonably fair way to allocate resources. That is why Teal says, and she is spot on, money is genius. It is the most efficient way to allocate. i agree with her point about the disconnect between even the middle class the the very poor. The only way one can live with that and not do something is to disconnect. That is a sad consequence of individual freedom. The alternative is to take indivudual freedoms away for the good of all. That has never worked either. As in USSR, China, North Korea, Venuzuela etc. giving a central government that much power results in genocide and everyone being equally unhappy.

    I feel what he's saying about the money system and wanting the universal income but it does create a problem with having a split within me holding onto that idea. It helps to see it more that the freedom of exchange makes it possible to get what you want. And presently we do have options to do what we want and get paid. Then it becomes fun while you get the freedom that money offers. Still this is a deeper issue. That bit she said about the split with the rich and poor really is about -- to sum it up -- the fact that people will not see how they are essentially common on both ends. I mean they're attitudes towards each other are the same. Realizing that is a hard one to swallow if you're bred on the lower income spectrum. All your days you will hear people in your family keeping up these patterns saying things that differentiate themselves from the super rich: "it's their fault were poor!" But a part of me is always thinking, "But you DO want the same thing they have?" So how is that different? It's a violent feeling and it's something that definitely is still blocking me now. The split is real! And it is actually painful! At least realizing why we prefer that model of thinking: it keeps us from being responsible and keeps us from feeling our own powerlessness. Ouch..

    Actually UK government puts so much more money into jobseekers (benefits and stuff), that the whole of UK would be able to have basic income allowance instead.

    Its far better to have the stuff and services than a lump sum of money from the govt pov. As they create more connections and can be responsible for what they create vs a sane person who would just get food and housing. Then there are problem people who would put all that money to drugs.

    I love Teal’s videos and explanations and all, but in this case - until the people get “connected”, there needs to be a way to redistribute the 98% of wealth from the 1% of population to the 99% of population that owns the last 2%, because there are people starving and dying and wasting their lives for very little money just to survive and they shouldn’t be dependent on the feelings of (so far non existent) connection and compassion of the hypr-super-mega rich 2%. 😔

    Zuzana B. But doesn’t what you are saying, Zuzana, come from the idea that the universe is scarce? As opposed to the universe being abundant? One person being wealthy doesn’t stop other people from being wealthy. If you decide to buy my iPhone I have not stolen from you but we bought have gained. The world today (even with allot this monetary woes) is still a million times better off than even just a hundred years ago. And I believe especially with technological advances that the world willet better.

    Hmm, no :). Money-wise, this is pretty much mathematically clear, there is only so much money and if every person in the world would monthly get an equal amount of money, everyone would only get a certain (not huge) amount, there would be no really (money-wise) rich people. Having said that, the abundance of the world can’t be only seen through money, because yes, there is enough food and other materialistic “stuff” for everyone, only not everyone can get to these basic (or less basic) goods, because of the concept of money. We, as a society, don’t value all activities that people do or things they make equally, we think that an artist is (often) less valuable that a “big” manager of a big company and so they don’t have the same access to everything they need or want. Again, having said that, it is important to teach people, that they are not limited in what they can achieve, but it can be a very hardly acceptable concept for many, and until they do understand this, I don’t think we should let them be hungry and homeless, because they are human beings no matter what. Also, I do live in a consumerism society and sure can get an iPhone (and everybody can get an iPhone), as long as you and I have a spare $1000. These money then go to a big company and those who manufactured the iPhone get hardly anything for their manual work. Once again. I also don’t think that a modern society (with modern technologies) necessarily solves anything - I think that a more simple life and a real connection with who we really are is the real solution to a better life (quality-wise). I absolutely believe in the law of attraction, that people are able to do amazing things if they realize who they really are, but I also think, that until everybody comes to that knowledge and is able to apply it, I have a really hard time with the idea that so many people are starving and working their a**es off for the richer part of the world to prosper :/... (And I live in the richer part of the world, having access to enough food, clear water and enough materialistic goods...). I personally don’t think that our world is not abundant, but as long as not everybody is able to take a proper care of themselves, we shouldn’t stop caring... And I don’t think that everybody has to share my opinions, I just feel miserable when I see kids literally starving (emotionally or materialistic), while knowing that there is enough of everything, they just don’t get to have it because their parents don’t have enough “green papers”. It’s just very sad to me, but I respect other opinions on this matter and understand, that not everyone has to see the world through my “filter”... ✌🏻

    Zuzana B. But even in a world where everyone starts out with the same salary it will NEVER end that way. Some people simply create more than others. If everyone buys what I am selling I will inevitably end up with more and then we are stuck with the inequality problem again. A basic income doesn’t sound like a bad idea until we start to think about where this money is coming from and if we are taking it justly or unjustly.

    Miss Kat Hmm, I‘ve got a good life, so it’s probably not so tragic with me 😄. I am not a millionaire and to be honest, that has never been my dream - I live quite a comfortable life, so I have to be doing SOMETHING right (vibrations-wise:)). What I see as a problem, is saying, that there is a plenty of MONEY for everyone, because if you purely mathematically give the same amount of ALL the money in the world among ALL the people in the world, there would be no millionaires, because there is not so much MONEY in the world. A lot of good things happened in my life only through some of these “vibrational match” techniques, so I am an absolute believer in this. This is all, I am saying: www.quora.com/What-would-happen-if-everyone-had-the-same-amount-of-money-and-how-much-would-we-have

    TEAL SWAN: THE BOTTOM-UP OR PIG-UP SPIRITUAL MATERIALISM. Part 2 I think I fully understand her. I mean, from my own filters. To create a solid holistic view and call it “new”, we require to shuffle around like the pieces of a domino game and expect that the arrangement that we will create out of the pieces which we will select (and she arranges a lot of words for the sake of her own dogma) will not only decide the outcome of what will happen on that table, but the outcome beyond the rules in which the game is based on. It is like expecting to create a domino effect beyond that table even when she perfectly knows the boundaries of that table. She trust too much her logical assertions and their validity, or at least, she appear to be doing so. However, in her own parallel mental reality, she doesn’t ,and she can’t tell us that because otherwise her own rational edifice would collapse like a house of cards out of Alice in Wonderland worse nightmare. Bear this in mind, I am not criticising Teal. I am holding her words hostage, both like raw material and like a lotus blossom, to criticise myself and grow. And I say to her and myself, be a sharper critic of yourself than of others. You will either continuously tap yourself on your shoulders or challenge yourself to grow. Often we grow not inward, but concaved (hollowed inward). We become more toxic for the joy and also misery of others when we shield other’s criticism with solidly constructed “impossible rational rebuttal” and turn such rationality into a mission statement of our lives as if light or enlightenment were all that harmless. The sun is a t a distance from us for a “reason”, the moon too and the earth too. When Teal stated and I quote: “When you are in an attitude of criticism there is not absolutely care or regard for the person who is on the receiving end of the information.” Teal is assuming that criticism is just an “attitude” and not also a cognitive method or style of approach. In fact, critical theory and literary criticism have been part of the history of art without any of the “attitude” Teal referred to. When it comes to epistemology, for instance, criticism has nothing to do with disregarding or the caring of the person. The psychological aspect is simply not accounted for because it would be considered as an ad hominem allegation that focuses in the character of a person rather than on ideas. Teal has psychologised criticism in a very arbitrary way. The history of criticism is not only a psychological one, but also a cognitive one. Criticism has served the development of knowledge as a heuristic method regardless of whether it has been “constructive” criticism or “destructive” criticism. Hence, the cognitive aspect of Teal view on criticism is lacking. The same would apply to her understanding of judgement. Judgement is not only a psychological term, but also an epistemological one. When we judge we not only pass an opinion of value referring to a person, but we also pass a viewpoint of value referring to ideas. In another of her videos she stated and I quote: “When we come into this world people don’t look at us as if we are a lotus blossom like it is their jobs to help us unfold so that they can see the mystery and the magic and the present in the gift of what we are. Instead they look at us like we are raw material that needs to be moulded. Almost like we do not have an inner essence and we know what is best for that person to become so let’s shape them into that.” The lotus flower, like any flower, is exposed to the natural elements, in this case, sunlight, wind, insects and birds. To assume that the blossoming of the lotus flower is a completely unhindered process is to have a bucolic naive view on nature. Even many flowers phenotype change to blossom at different seasons to avoid birds predation of their seeds. Ants create partnership with plants and their flowers to use them as raw material to mould them in exchange of protection. In this process, the “inner essence” of the flowers or of the ants is not lost. But let’s ask first, how Teal Swan has shaped her ideas and viewpoints throughout her life? Second, how she has shaped the world around her with such ideas. Surely, Teal’s viewpoints have come to her as part of the process of being moulded as a raw material in her past and in her current life. However, we should ask, if Teal is promoting to let things and people blossom in their true essence, how come she has been moulding as raw material not only the ideas she has inherited from her past, but the ideas she continuously feeds on around her? Shouldn’t she let all ideas around her blossom, instead of taking them as raw material to mould them to her own beliefs? Shouldn’t she let ideas, which come to her head, blossom naturally without taking them as raw material to mould? Teal might fail to understand that she, the forerunner, trying to dodge the bullet of polarities, right when she is thinking she is doing so, she is accelerating her own homemade polarities by assuming that flowers blossoming and human socialization are distinct processes marked by the presence of the natural in the first one and the artificial in the second one. I don’t even dare to say that I have criticised her views, but rest assure, hers are full of inconsistencies about which she lacks complete self-awareness.

    Is that really genius if somebody figure out how unconditional money can be made? Here in Germany since long time we are fighting for it: it means that we are quitting on "childrenmoney", "worklessmoney" etc....and everyone would get over 1000€ unconditionally. That is absolutely possible. We often discuss it here. It would be great. People would only do what they love. Workingplace need to be better because if they dont: noone works there anymore....etc... Greetings ;-)

    Ok, so if money represents fair exchange for human talent, contribution and energy to the whole, I have a problem with an Instagramer who simply photographs in a bikini and gets $250K from an Anastasia Beverly Hills sponsored makeup promotion or a KZreadr who makes thousands by filming food ASMR (chewing into a microphone) - two things which inherently don’t require intelligence - making more money, than a professional in a highly educated field, working hard, even having responsibility over people’s lives, and making much less. Sports men raking in millions (at least they have skill) over a scientist in a lab trying to get funding for a new invention. Tesla died in poverty.

    Those people making that much money is more a statement about our culture and what it sees as valuable than anything else, but I understand. It would be more logical if something that took years to learn was seen as more valuable.
