Teaching a NEWBIE how to MILK a COW (so I can go on vacation)
Ойын-сауық
She has never milked a cow, but she's about to learn! I'm going on vacation, and she volunteered to do the milking while I'm gone. Michelle and our Guernsey cow Maddie are in for a good time 😊

You are NOT a wimp. You did the job, learned to milk the cow! Wimps don't deal with life and whine all of the time. You are doing a great job and you do have back up with your son. God bless y'all and keep growing.

Well said! and Amen:)
I love the early morning, and there's something special about being out with the animals as the sun is rising. As the primary milker at my house, it's a huge deal to have somebody who's able and willing to help when I'm not able to. I'm sure Cody is grateful for your willingness.

Yep I’m super grateful! 😊 I love the mornings with my cow too (when she’s not being a bizznitch) 😉
This will most certainly give her a new appreciation for your hard work.
When my children were little , I set up in intercom between my barn and the house so they could talk to me . That made me feel a lot more comfortable having to leave them in the house until the cows were milked .

Aww, Izzy is such an independent young boy, such a good helper at a young age. Watched him in your other videos helping with the chores like with the chickens.

I have gained a new appreciation for your lovely wife. Great job!!!
Congratulations Shelly, could tell from the video that with practice you developed more confidence. Glad that Codi was able to get away on a fishing trip. Glad you included some pictures from your vacation in Florida.

As someone who lives in the burbs, getting my kids (when they were young) to get our store-bought milk from the fridge was sometimes a chore lol. Major props - you guys make an awesome team!

Thank you so much. Welcome here!
My grandmother used bagblam on her goat's and cow's, after milking they can get sores .
Congratulation! We grow with our tasks. Well done Michelle.
So good to see how well you did. I have always wanted to milk a cow but they are a mighty big animal😳😁

It can be intimidating. But as long as you start off with a tame cow they are pretty chill.
My husband does all the milking as well! I go out and help when l’m up but sometimes he milks really early before work and its too early for me!

Thank goodness it's one. Phew! Excellent job.❤🎉
That was AWESOME!! 😂 great job Michelle! Hey, at least it didn't look like she pooped while you were milking... My sister and I milk our cow every morning by hand and thats what we try to avoid the most, we find if we linger around her a minute with the feed bucket, the anticipation helps eliminate the source. Lol. Anyways, you did great!
New subscriber here. So watching all of your guys videos. “I mean in real life I’m not really a wimp, am I?” HILARIOUS 😆 I am laughing so hard. Cody is like “nah”

Congratulations You're way ahead of me. Wish I had a chiropractic on lol
I have really enjoyed your videos
That was awesome, and actually really helpful. WTG Michelle! I don't have nearly the confidence to milk our cow myself!! I take 2 teats while my husband does the other 2, but he's the one who gets her in, ties her up, washes the udder, unties her, etc. And if she gets too antsy or dances too much, I just give up and he finishes milking her out. We've got a milk machine and will switch to it as soon as we move our cows to the property that has an electric hookup, so every time y'all do beginner milk machine videos I'm taking extensive mental notes :).

That’s great 😊 It really does just take awhile to get used to being around a big animal like that.
Shelly - you did great!!! ❤

Thank you😊
Use a bungy cord to loop around the cows tail. That way you need not actually touch it.
If it wasn’t for these sweet animals, we wouldn’t have milk, cream, butter, etc. giving them a good comfortable life to live is great
🐄 great job! 🥛
Way to go girl !!
Awesome!
Nice video. Codi you have an assume wive. Shelly you have an assume husband. I love the mornings !!!!!!!!
The only "experience " I've had was when I was in kindergarten. They took a 2 liter of soda and turned it upside down, put a plastic glove beneath it, and they poked holes in the fingertips so it could only drain if we pulled it. That was supposed to teach us how it worked lol

Nei, I rather milk them by hand. Some cows have sensitive teats that are extremely sensitive for milking machines. Plus, I am not a huge fan of modern day technology although I do love antique technology. But still, I rather hand milk. Better my hands to get sore than the cow's teats. Lol! 😒
If you get sick a lot I would say it is the raw eggs you are eating. Love your channel but not good dude. I never get sick and I eat all organic. I have meat birds and laying hens and turkeys. NEVER would I eat raw eggs. EVER! With your diet of organic and your high activity level you should never be getting sick. After marathon watching your video's that is what I saw as the cause.

@@morethanfarmers Yes we can certainly do that. I must say though that...did you know that a very large percentage (can't remember the percentage) of people that get the flu....it is actually food poisoning? I've done a ton of research on this topic and the raw egg stuff. Do you feed your chickens 100% organic feed? If not, it is a fact that those pesticides used in chicken feed go into the eggs of the hens and also the bones of both hen and roosters. If the rest of your family doesn't get sick as much as you do and you are the only one eating raw eggs daily, pay attention to what your body is telling you.
