Teaching nine to five, actually more like 8:30 am
through to 9:00 pm, and then we get up early
We say, “Yeah, we’re fine!” but pour another whisky
If I left today, would the kids even miss me?
No, probably not. Mine definitely wouldn’t.
Getting to the end of the day now it's not long
Oblongs, taught songs, I’ve helped put socks on
The playgrounds full of parents I will survive!
I’m a survivor!
Homework is out and I just wanna shout
“Your kids were great today!” And now I’m getting out!
“Don’t be too long, the meeting starts in 5!”
Teaching nine to five, I’m not sure that I can do this!
What is 7 x 2? We’ve just been through this!
I need some quiet time, or else I might just lose it!
It's the nineteenth time and yesterday you knew this!
What a way to make a living! We’re just getting by.
I’m not made for this caregiving!
Sometimes I just sigh, even that’s a waste of breath!
My bank account and temper… There’s really nothing left!
Teaching nine to five! Even though we pretend we hate it
There are lows and highs and you know that we can take it.
It’s the teaching life and to be fair we really rate it.
You know you’ll be fine, you know we wouldn’t change it!

The "you knew this yesterday" part is TOO REAL and it mainly happens when an administrator is doing any observation hahaha.
Been a teacher for little over a year. Virtually every single thing they said was true for me lol

That's the truth. I wake at 4:30am to get to downtown early.
Actual tears of sad but true laughter :)
Going into my second year teaching and the part, "If I left today, I'm not sure the kids would miss me..." is how I felt that entire first year LOL
Get me a straight-jacket. I’m gonna go insane!

I've really enjoyed all your videos. This is a great channel. I didn't know they actually get done by 9pm instead of 5pm until I've watched your videos. Man being a teacher is hard work. My favorite memories are from the teachers I've had, I truly appreciate the work they do.

My teachers loved this when I showed them and our school starts at 8:30 but students come in at like 7:50 so teachers get there’s even earlier
