I don’t understand why someone would be a teacher if they don’t care about what they do, I’m currently an assistant toddler teacher and learnt how underpaid teachers really are. It’s definitely a field to be in because you enjoy it and care about kids, not for the money because we don’t make a lot at all. So I’m honestly so freaking confused to why there’s so many mean teachers who hate their job, they could literally work at McDonald’s and make more 😂😐

We asked everyone in the class to make a one minute video of why they thought that year was so special, and why our teachers meant so much to them. We then made a little video with those clips. We added some pictures and other videos that were taken through out the year. When we showed it to our teachers, they cried. It makes me so happy that they really appreciated it!

Our class actually made our teacher cry 😅 She just got out of covid for 2 months and she was sad or almost depressed, so we turned on our cameras with a heart on paper and our class representative said some words how we apreciate her. Yea she cried....

As someone who just graduated high school and is planning to become a teacher, this video made me cry in a good way. A lot of people have told me that I shouldn’t become a teacher even though I have wanted to since I was seven. Because the pay is bad, because you have to deal with troublesome kids, etc etc. And they start to make me question whether or not I should keep pursuing that dream. Then I see stuff like this where teachers have helped kids and changed their lives in some cases, have students that admire them and respect them. I see that there are good aspects to being a teacher and the passion and spark for that relights again.

A couple of friends and I would draw on post-it notes and put them on our English teachers' cabinet thing and there were eventually over 80 post-its on the door. We are no longer there and he no longer works as an English teacher he is now a stem teacher, but he sent us a picture of our post-its laminated and hung in his new classroom for everyone else to see. So now even though we're not there it makes me happy knowing there is a piece of us with him as he continues to teach and I hope to be back and see all of the post-its in their glory.

This is why at the end of every school year, I make it my goal to fold origami flowers for all my teachers. It brings me joy to see even as another year has passed, they still have my flower on their desk, or the little note looks a bit more wrinkled than it was before

I remember my English teacher in high school, she was so sweet, she told us at the last day of the year to write our opinion about her teaching, and I didn't know what to write, I kept thinking the whole day and just before the end of the day I wrote it on a note and hanged it on the door, the next year I met her in the school and she somehow knew that it was me who left the note, she always try to read people's personality, she was incredible!
