Welcome to Standing Stone Kennels! In this video we show how to help your dog stay on their dog bed longer. We talk about building duration while working on collar conditioning to place. Collar conditioning is going to really help develop a consistent ability to reinforce behaviors like place in a variety of distractions. Follow along as we work with Shock on increasing the time she stays on her bed.

Is there any ambiguity to the dog when vibrate comes off before they’ve gone to the bed? Or does the follow up pressure make it clear it’s still the same cue?

Is it inappropriate to use the “stay” command to help encourage the behavior or will that create challenges down the line? Thanks for the great videos!
